Wonderful location near town but quieter with great mountain views and a nearby stream with a walking path. Close to everything in town but slightly apart with a more residential setting. I loved the sound of running water with the windows open, otherwise, the soundproofing worked well. Helpful staff and facilities as advertised. The elevator and parking worked well for my stay.

Double bed was a bit small.

Location is hard to beat. We had a family room and it was quiet, comfortable and clean. Perfect for a short stay and excellent value compared to other options in Meiringen. Simple breakfast buffet, but all the essentials were there. Good coffee.

Very pleasant stay, 2 adults + 3 teenagers. We were hiking 3 days in CH. Walking dist. To Aareschlucht and Reichenbachfall. We had big apt. with two separate bedrooms. Newly renovated. Nice bathroom,and terasse. Staff very friendly and attentive. Good value for money. Dog allowed,at onlu chf 10 extra cost.

Location is perfect for setting off to do the passes. Hotel is located very close to town high street, restaurants, bars, supermarket, shops, etc. Small underground car park for added security if you are on a motorcycle but safe enough to leave them parked by the Terrase at the front of the hotel. Friendly and helpful owner and staff. Fan provided in the room. Breakfast is simple but adequate selection/choices and decent coffee machine.

Due to a location of our room, we had outside car park just under the windows, which meant quite lot of noise. Also, the room was quite pricey considering the other hotels we stayed at during out trip & the options it offered.

Very friendly and helpful staff providing us with lot of local knowledge and recommendations around late dinner places. The room size and bathroom were good, hotel nicely decorated in the Sherlock Holmes theme. Breakfast was good with lot of options. Underground parking was also nice feature for our motorbike. We appreciate the walking distance to the city centre from the hotel.

Except for the bed and room floor, which are apparently new, the whole hotel looked as if it had been refurbished some 30 to 40 years ago. Everything looked dated, worn and old-fashioned. The breakfast room looks dark and depressing, with only one window front. The limited choice of breakfast didn’t improve the situation, either. The car park in the courtyard is way too small, and the tight, curvy entrance turned out to be a real rim-killer.

The bed was relatively new, very clean and had an excellent comfort. The location was nice, just a few minutes walk from the city center and railway station.

Was in Meiringen for the World Cup climbing event with my 2 sons. Was the perfect location, near the competition hall, cleanliness and overall impression exceeded expectations and many key competitors also stayed at the hotel. Were allowed to enter the room already at 10am and leave the car on site the following day.

Most Swiss Hotels offer Bus passes for tourists. This hotel does not offer it. You have to ask for it. Also, the bus pass offered does not include going to the mountains by public bus like the bus passes in St Moritz. The bus pass only covers upto a certain point going up to the mountain.

The location of this hotel is superb. It is very near the Alpen Tower Cable car station as well as the Sherlock Holmes Falls. There is a bus stop near the hotel.
