Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

RomaniaIn a world where ‘tax and fees’ are included to the online price, when you arrive to the reception you need to pay extra city tax+ parking fee 22CHF for 1 night. Near the bed you will find the cabine douche and sink. Lucky us that the wc was 1m away from bad.

HungaryWhat I couldn't see on the pictures, is that there was no bathroom in the room in the classical sense. The shower cabin was directly in the room separated with a glass door from the rest of the room. But the biggest problem was the lack of a closable toilet door in the room. There was only a wooden slab on hinges and a 10cm gap over and under the slab. So there was nothing to stop the sounds and smells, which is quite embarrassing in a double room. We had to opt for common restrooms. Also, there were not enough wall sockets to charge devices, and there was not enough storage space for clothes, but you can live with that in a budget hotel.
The location is nice, and there's a tram station next to the building. The rooms are clean and the people at the reception were nice. The breakfast is a good value for the price if you can do without a warm breakfast like scrambled eggs, bacon or sausage.

TurkeyThe breakfast was a bit poor than expected. The car park was very narrow and difficult to get in to a car if somebody parked next to your car.

United KingdomThe room was beyond small. I appreciate that this was a 'budget' booking, but I do feel that this stretches the term budget. Sticking a shower cubicle and a toilet into a room is creative at best. It really doesn't allow for much. You could call it a hostel! There is NO WHERE to dress in private, and using the toilet at night means you wake your fellow traveller. Switzerland is expensive, this was pushing the boundaries of value for money though.
The location was good, and the provision of a travel pass for the City was excellent. Parking was very expensive though.

SerbiaThe pizza we had for dinner in the hotel was the worst one I have ever had. It was too late when we found out it was a frozen pizza bought at a supermarket I guess, yet it was quite pricey.
Our room was clean. The beds were comfortable. The staff are super friendly and helpful. The breakfast we paid for was nice, good value for the money.

NetherlandsFor the sake of honesty, I don't like ibis budget rooms, but it is cheap whilst travelling with the family. Asking for a deposit to lend the hair dryer is strange.
