Only one small negative point: Walking into the restaurant from the hotel can feel like walking into a private club where you're not welcome. The owners and their friends sit at the table by the door and when we walked in, a couple of times, the whole table stopped their conversation and just stared at us without saying a word until we asked to be seated / checked in. However they are very friendly, helpful, and welcoming once you introduce yourself and communicate your intentions. There is no English on the menu so come ready with a translator app on your phone.

The hotel is warm and welcoming. We had very bad weather so can't we comment of the views unfortunately. The accommodation is simple but had everything we needed. A traditional Swiss buffet breakfast was available with a choice of breakfast foods. It was all delicious. The red-shelled eggs were a point of conversation. We had to stop ourselves from going back for thirds! We had dinner there once and although we found it pricey, it was so delicious that I still think about it! The mushroom sauce was simply unbelievable. There was enough English spoken by the lady that we managed to communicate (with a bit of help from a translator app). We had a shared bathroom but it was immaculately clean and in great working order.

Breakfast was below our expectations for the price of the accommodation. There was a choice of muesli, yoghurt and a few basic spreads, but salami or anything else was really bland.

Such a lovely place! The price to qualify was great, the owner of the place was super nice and food delicious! The bus stop is next to the hotel. I love the ‘feel like home’ atmosphere and for sure, I will come back soon! :)

The bathroom was shared with four rooms, only one of which was occupied so it was not really an issue, and we had been forewarned of this arrangement so it was not a surprise. Fortunately the room had its own sink with water faucets hence useful for minor tasks such as brushing your teeth without using the main shared bathroom.

We chose this hotel due to its vicinity to a nearby town where we were meeting with friends. Having a mountain chalet style lodging with fantastic views was an additional reward. We did not use the restaurant other than for breakfast, which was correct in our view. Again, the scenery through the windows was exceptional. The room was medium sized, the bed confortable and the sheets, covers and towels clean and new. Finally, the hotel is well communicated via a PostAuto bus line, with the stop being just a few meters away.

The only slightly onerous thing was a tiny corridor with high steps, leading from 1st to the 2nd floor, a little challenging for carrying the luggage up and down.

The host is a very warm and kind person. Despite our poor german speaking language we found a common understanding :) The hotel itself is in a very peaceful location with marvelous view on surrounding mountains. Parking and WiFi free of charge. The breakfasts were very comfortable and tasty. The restaurant has some interesting specialities for lunch in menu, and I was personally amazed by the large salad of mixed vegetables - I think I might get addicted to it, if our stay was longer :D We were aware that the toilet/shower-room is going to be shared, but we were lucky that it wasn't so occupied during our stay, thus for us it was not that bothersome, as we initially assumed. We received at the reception a benefit card for regional attractions with some price incentives. To hiking entusiast, I recommend to take a 7-Gipfel-Tour, a 5-7 hour, 15-20 km (depending on taking the gondola-lift or not) track going through 7 Alpine tops with unforgettable views. The walls were a bit thin but it was OK, no one is having a party up there anyway!

The views were amazing. We had a room to the mountain side and the road which was just fine but the other to the valley was impressive. There is parking available and the breakfast was very good, also with a great view. There is also a bus stop right in front but we did not use it. The staff were very nice and helped us with our questions.

As in many hotels in CH and GER pillows are a fight for the night. I struggle with understanding why it is so difficult to get decent pillows. This hotel actually had decent ones.

The staff were very friendly and trying to help in all ways possible. The location is excellent and when weather would have been slightly better the views would have been great. Rooms were very clean and sizeable enough for us.
