Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaProbably the one negative was the main restaurant for dinner. Half the menu being the steaks and other grilled meat were unavailable, as were other items, which were not advised at the time. The meatballs were extremely tough and dry, so we cancelled the remainder of our order. The staff were dressed as if they were tour guides ready for a hike and not wait staff and we waited for over half an hour for a bottle of wine that we had ordered but never arrived.
It’s a location with amazing views particularly of the volcano. We watched as it changed colours over a sunset and sunrise. Our room and the accommodation as a whole was fabulous. So tranquil. The thermal pools were sensational. Staff as a whole worked hard, albeit if you didn’t speak Spanish you would probably find it difficult. Having said that, we are in Chile. The bar food was good and should be more readily available, although we may have visited in the off season.

BrazilWe were not able to exchange dollars for chilean pesos. Never seen an international hotel that doesn’t do that. We had to drive for an hour to the nearest town in order exchange our money. Hotel doesn’t offer room service as well as help with the luggage. Parking is 200m away from reception. During winter and snow this is a big issue. The food in the restaurant was good, but very expansive. We traveled off season and the hotel seemed short staffed.
Beautiful location, nice facilities, good breakfast and restaurants. Great pool and spa. Lots of trails and activities to do.

United States of AmericaWi-fi was a little inconsistent which was a problem since I had to work a little. No wifi in the rooms only public areas The spa could have had hotter water, was lukewarm
The building is stunning, the site is beautiful, definitely a place to get lost in. The food was TOP and so were the drinks. A big plus is the additional activities you can coordinate with them, we did rafting and night tour, the staff is sweet, friendly, and make you feel welcome. The rooms were very very comfortable, with beautiful views of the site. The site is well maintained, walks and wayfinding are well indicated, easy to explore on your own

ChilePersonal staff are ALWAYS in a bad mood, specially from restaurant/bar. When we arrived (I was with my husband + 2 elder people), NOBODY helped us with our luggage. Parking is not close from main entrance, WI-FI doesn't work in the room, our bathroom had one door that probably was broken and they replaced it with a horrendous plastic curtain that stinks, pool closes 19:30 (the parks close 18h, so you don't have time to enjoy it). Definitely not the treatment you expect from a Hotel that charges that amount of money.
Room was comfortable, as the bed. The view from our room was beautiful. Parks are very close and beautiful too.

BelgiumInsulation of the rooms is poor. Shower cabin had mould all arond the edges. Tap of the shower was installed in the wrong side (red is cold and blue is hot). The toilet bowl moves when one sits. These things really need more attention. Handrails in the swimind pool are loose. Also, the hotel is quite pricey. It's customary to tip waiters 10%, which I did. On top of that they ask you upon checkout to tip 10% for cooks, concierges and receptionists, which I find very cheese. You aren't really free to say no because THEY ask you in your face to tip them, that's emotionally forced, which would be different perhaps if payments were done on a machine. I wonder what their wages are in a hotel of this rating. Overall, it would be very difficult for me to say this was a happy experience and even more difficult to come back.
Staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms are nicely decorated and have a view.

United States of AmericaThe entire hotel needs to undergo some serious revamping. It’s dirty and tired both in the public areas as well as in the guest rooms. If you’re going to charge over $300 for a room and claim to be a luxury destination, changes will need to be made. I paid close to $350 for a room with two beds. The beds were closer to the size of a cot.
The location and surrounding nature are exceptional. The staff is wonderful.

Chilethe service/staff attention for the price is is far off expectation. ok it is in the middle of nowhere but still, it’s vastly overpriced in regards to service - what you pay for is the location and stunning nature arround it but one could rent a fantastic house/cabana for that price and then visit the hotel and do the treks arround it. it’s a one time visit, not sure I would spend the money again Allthough I’m happy with the weekend we spend there
magical place! beautiful the design and attention to nature is something very different and worth a visit.

United States of AmericaWhen we arrived we were told that we had a room for 3 and one for 2. When we got to the rooms the one for 3 did not have space for 3 beds. When we asked to change they pointed to our reservation which showed 3 children all with age 0 (perhaps my error when I entered things into booking.com, but I remember filling out their true ages). They said that 3 babies should fit in that room. My 3 boys are teenagers. They said they could accommodate an upgrade but we would have to pay the difference, because it was not their fault. The food was bland and a bit boring, many of the pools were closed, and the entire place was showing some wear. There is also an odd feeling of constructed nature that feels disingenuous. Overall, really not worth the rather expensive prices.
The architecture is oddly beautiful. The surrounding countryside is beautiful.

United KingdomWiFi is pretty rubbish. Doesn't work in the room. Breakfast and a few other things feel v much like in a government run hotel. It is expensive for what they make feel like a mass market offer.
It is an amazing structure. Very much enjoyed the dinner in the restaurant but I could see other guests were unhappy for various reasons so I think I was lucky with what I ordered.

BelgiumGreat on the outside, but no "soul" at all at te inside. Way to expensive for what it is, even at this location! Some nice staff, but most very young and inexperienced with hospitality and travel.
Great building. Location not bad. But for who is travelling trough to e.g. Puert Varas, I would say skip this part.
