Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

Great place to stay - perfect location, across from the park and very central. The staff was incredibly helpful and very attentive especially Diego. I would also give it two thumbs up on their morning breakfast - plenty of options. I would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again.

AustraliaNothing really. At a push, a choice of pillows?
A warm welcome, smiling faces and comfort are something you often are looking for when travelling and hotel ismael did not disappoint. It is a boutique hotel full of charm. It is also in a great location for excellent food choices or a walk in the park. It is walking distance to many things to do including museums, galleries, markets and historic plazas. The room was very comfortable and the terrace was nice and quiet to relax. The hotel has a lovely vibe, many interesting books. I stayed for 8 nights and found only Saturday night a bit noisy in the park but this is a city after all. Breakfast seemed a generous spread.

PolandI do hope this is an exception but the personnel do not live up to expectations. Takes ages to check-in. We offered to leave all the documents, so they could take their time and just wanted to drop the bags in our rooms and go for late lunch, as it was already past 4pm and we were starving. Not a chance. First all the formalities. We have asked for another room, but were informed, they had no availabilities. Logged on to Booking.com and it turned out, they had plenty. There were some doubtful explanations offered but we were not convinced. When we came back from dinner in town, felt like we wanted a nightcap, as there is a bar downstairs. It was not stocked, no whisky or rum. So they suggested that we could go to nearby convenience store and buy a bottle there and come back to the hotel, so they give us ice and glassware. I have paid cash dollars for the rooms upon arrival, only to be informed by the next, morning shift, that I have not paid. Lots of shifting documents, phone calls etc. It was painful to check out. I have no inclinations to complain but this is allegedly a 4-star hotel where service does not deliver :((
The location is perfect. The quaint street, yet a few steps away from the colorful life of Lastarria. The design is creative and cosy. The rooms are fairly compact but quite comfortable.

United States of AmericaA few drawers to put things, some stronger lighting to read in bed.
Location was excellent and all staff, especially Daniela, were helpful and friendly. We had some problems with a/c and they immediately offered us another room. Very nice rooftop area with a small pool and lounge chairs. Great place to relax. Rooms were very comfortable, bed and pillows were just right. Excellent breakfast. Very safe and secure.

Trinidad and TobagoThe hotel ran out of milk one morning at breakfast. Since there were shops just steps away, just a bit surprised that this was not dealt with.
I stayed at this hotel twice. Excellent base for exploring Lastarria and other sites and just steps away from the park (perfect for dog-watching), fine arts museum, shops, great restaurants, bars and cafes. Staff were very helpful with transportation requests (these are outsourced and the service provider is very efficient - great airport transfer service), printing of documents and holding luggage while travelling to Rapa Nui. Breakfast was more than ample - the traditional South American offerings with some additional items such as a small selection of roasted vegetables, tomatoes and avocado. The hotel provided some nice touches such as a computer for guests, water throughout the day and coffee with some small snacks in the lounge area. Comfortable rooms with a small balcony and desk. Lovely experience and I would have no hesitation staying here again.

CanadaWe couldn't control the AC from our room, the front desk had to control the temperature. The pool area has a lot of potenital but needs a little bit of TLC.
The staff were SO friendly and accommodating. We were given easter eggs on Easter morning which was a nice touch. We had a late flight on our check-out day and the gave us a late check-out time.

We stayed here one night in Santiago and it was a great location to get a feel for the city by allowing us to walk around. It's closely situated to a park with lots of open spaces.

United KingdomWould have been nice to be able to check in slightly earlier after a 14hr flight. Some issues with water temperature in shower.
Great location, right next to a large park and a short walk to the bars and restaurants of Lastarria. Really good breakfast, and our room was quiet as facing the park. Easy to get to on public transport from the airport, a short walk from 3 metro stops and walking distance to most sights in central Santiago.
