Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

CanadaA bit challenging communicating with the hotel prior to our stay. Possibly it was the language difference, possibly website confusion as to whether I was speaking to booking.com or directly to the hotel. We were kept well informed about our reservation, however.
The restaurant location was great for breakfast, with windows all around to look out. Breakfast was pretty standard for ‘breakfast included’ hotels. Room was just fine except the toilet seat was broken. Perfect location for walking about the town - near many important sites.

PortugalThese are minor issues, but I was upset with charging me 2 thousand pesos (2€) per coffee capsule used in the room at check-out, as there was no warning that they were not ammenities offered (the minibar it's usual but coffee capsules!?). There was a water boiler but no tea in the room (but they had tea in the breakfast area !?). Other than that, fantastic!
Fantastic hotel in Santiago, great location, very friendly staff, the rooms were spacious and very clean, with a large bed, kitchen utilities and dinner table. Loved that it even had a capsule coffee machine and a water boiling jar for breakfast.

IrelandStrip club music from next door could be heard in the room from 4pm to 5am. We had earplugs so didn't effect our sleep, but if you didn't, it would be a nightmare. Generally a noisy hotel, could hear staff walkie talkies and doorbell regularly.
Very spacious room, with a microwave and air conditioning. Location was super - close to everything and felt safe in the area (albeit we weren't out late at night). Breakfast was tasty and plentiful, nice setting on the roof terrace.

United States of AmericaIt was over a strip club haha. I was afraid it would be loud since I stayed directly over it but you don’t hear it. I also didn’t really see anything so the most uncomfortable thing about it is simply knowing.
The amenities and breakfast were wonderful. They had things like combs, shaving set available and it was nice and quiet, even on the second floor. Breakfast is on the rooftop where you can’t get a peek at Sta Lucia hill and the fool was good.

United States of AmericaThe gentleman at the reception said they preferred that I pay the room fee ($51.50) in U.S. dollar, yet they did not have change. I opted to pay in credit card, but could have paid in cash if they had change. Be careful of using anything in the mini-fridge or even the coffee/tea as they will charge you. I did not use anything, so I was not charged extra, but just be aware.
I stayed just one night as this was one of the few places in the Lastarria area that had 24/7 reception to allow for late check-in (my flight arrived at midnight and I didn't get to the hotel until 2:00am). The room was bigger than expected with two twin beds, a bathroom, and a kitchenette area complete with dining table with glassware. It felt almost like an apartment! Breakfast was served on the rooftop terrace and was complete with eggs, cheese, pastries, fruit, juice, and coffee. Very impressive for a free breakfast!

United KingdomThe hotel is a little more run down than we anticipated. There is nothing really wrong - it is just less smart than we had anticipated from the photos and the cost. It didn't matter as the room was clean, the bed was comfy, the water was hot and we felt secure and weren't in the hotel much as we were out exploring. There wasn't really anywhere to hang out at the hotel other than our room.
The central downtown location was perfect, the hotel has an elevator which is handy as our room was on the 5th floor. The rooms are spacious and the bed comfy. The staff were helpful and spoke a bit of English. There is a rooftop for breakfast but the offering is pretty basic and it can be cold in the morning. The hotel is really easy walking distance to Santa Lucia Hill and great restaurants in Larristaria.

DenmarkNoisy, is next to a night club. Medium variety for breakfast and the guaranty for the mini bar (50.000clp) that after 5 days I haven’t have back. The coffee also you have to pay extra (4000clp) as a minibar product.

United States of AmericaStaff is so and so. Not much in terms of speaking english, the check in ones were ok but the breakfast personnel was weird, seemed like they didn.t want to be there and was always checking as if you were stealing something. I only got a goffee and the sma things they gave. At 7 am when I got there, it wasn't even ready and I'm sure omlette wasn.t the knly thing as they were getting ready to fill the 2nd dish when I left 10 mins later. Internet didn.t work great in my room.
