I love the room the hotel balcony view of the mountains was beautiful. Just staying there you really didn’t have to leave the hotel so much space to move around and do.

The spa was not very cleaned - jacuzzi was dirty, towel on the floor for feet was dirty. It seems it was not cleaned after use. WiFi didn’t work in my room Electronic code for the room didn’t work No fridge in the bedroom

Despite multiple breakfast options, the food was a bit bland for my taste. But maybe it's just me being too picky.

This is a beautiful hotel. It's sparkling clean and the spa facilities are fantastic. Location is also great - close enough to main attractions, but far enough that you are away from all the noise and tourists. Breakfast options were great as well.

The hotel is BEAUTIFUL. It has multiple open spaces filled with trees and flowers. The room was gorgeous and exactly like in the pictures. The fact that we had our own private hot tub in the room and it was in our own private terrace was just amazing. They also offered breakfast directly to your room with no additional cost and the breakfast included has everything you need. We also hired their SPA services and they were so good. It was the perfect way to arrive after a long ride. The SPA also includes a hot and a cold hot tub and a sauna that can be used whenever you like with no additional cost. The restaurant gives you multiple “space” options to enjoy your food. Some nights they had live music and the guy was a great “one man band”. The food was amazing too The service was perfect, they were always checking on us to know if there was anything they could help us with. Olivia, the hotels cat, was also great company 💜 I would definitely go back to this hotel if I am to visit Villa de Leyva again :)

Our suite had no private daylight windows as they gave onto a beautiful courtyard open to all guests. Also the sound of running water features was so peaceful but nearly ruined by the staff need for playing music through the sound system

There's not much to not like. Perhaps, the restaurant menu was limited but we ate out most of the time. Breakfast was included with just a few options and mostly local cuisine. But not a big deal, really...

Yes, evening treats every night!!! One of the highlights of this boutique hotel is its fantastic location, just five blocks away from the Grand Plaza. A short walk to a variety of restaurants, bars, and more. This made it convenient to explore the vibrant surroundings, visit popular landmarks, and indulge in the local culture. The hotel itself was a haven of tranquility, providing a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle of the city. The well-appointed, spacious rooms were not only aesthetically pleasing but also equipped with modern amenities. The attention to design and functionality showcased the hotel's commitment to creating a seamless and delightful experience for its guests. In conclusion, my stay at this beautiful boutique hotel was a delightful blend of elegance, top-notch service, and a prime location. And yes, I’m coming back soon!

We loved everything!

The breakfast was fantastic. There were several options to choose from and everything was made to order. They even remember the food allergies of some of the people in our group and avoided those items. We really enjoyed the onsite spa facilities and the private jacuzzis in our suite. The live music in the evening was a nice bonus to enjoy a drink and meal on the terraza. The rooms were well appointed with luxury bath products and very comfortable bedding. We will definitely return to Hotel El Carmel.

Amazing place. Spectacular room and facilities, elengantly decorated and perfect for a romantic date. The suites with the hot tub in the terrace are just a gem. However, the best was people, everyone so attentive and willing to fulfill any request. We had a great time and for sure will come back

The staff were really friendly and always on hand to meet our needs. The room was cleaned regularly, and water provided. We had dressing gowns and slippers provided. The breakfast was really nice with a selection of fruit, cooked breakfast, fruit juice and hot drinks. The bed was huge, with a bath and shower. Very well located from the centre, shops and restaurants. I wouldn't stay anywhere else.

The place is beautiful and quiet, yet close to the center plaza. Food very good. Tastefully decorated and spacious and very comfortable rooms. We will definitely come back and let friends know.
