Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

Planes flying overhead, so take some earplugs and you’ll be totally fine
Small, cute and intimate, good shower, close to airport, breakfast was included, in a residential area and Carmen who manages the guesthouse.

Carmen is the host at Carl Bed and Breakfast, she is amazing host and she Takes care you as family and cousy place. Breakfast amazing , for people want to staying Airport close this is the perfect fit. Good job

The most comfortable bed ever !! I was so sad i had to wake up early in the morning to catch my flight ! Carmen is the nicest person ever and will make you feel at home in 5 seconds. I definitely recommend this place and will be back to enjoy it a bit more :)

The breakfast could be improved.
The neighborhood seemed safe though lacked services. The staff was very nice and helpful. The room was small but clean and reasonably quiet. The bathroom was great with good hot water. The bed and linens were very nice and comfortable.

Not a social place and the location is quite remote/in a residential area. This isn't a problem if it's what you're looking for. You're also under the flight path of the aIrport. This wasn't an issue for me as I wear earplugs to bed but could be an issue for light sleepers. It's quite bright in the morning.
The comfiest bed I've slept in in 4months of traveling. It was like sleeping in a cloud! The owner was incredibly sweet and helpful. Very lovely lady. The location was very convenient for getting to the airport (I was only staying one night in preparation for my flight the next day). Lovely breakfast made to your order.

The only complaint I have is that my room was upgraded and the price increased without my knowledge/consent. Yes, I was happy to have an upgraded room and the increase in price wasn’t much, but the guest should be informed about the option to upgrade and agree to the increase in price or receive the upgraded room at the original price quoted on Booking.com
Extremely clean, everything new, very kind host, and the breakfast was very delicious.

you definitely need EAR PLUGS! planes started taking off around 5am and kids in the park screaming & playing around 7-8am. there is also no soundproof windows. you can also hear music coming out of other guest rooms.
very friendly employees who did beyond & above our expectations. prepared us late night dinner & excellent breakfast @8am

The rooms are brand new, really clean and nicely decorated. The host is wonderful willing to help with everything and it was no problem that we arrived pretty late. The b&b is perfectly located between the airport and the bus station. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful. We loved the breakfast as well. We will definitely stay here again if we have to stay overnight in bogota!

No information in the room, (area, Taxis,restaurants, WiFi etc) difficult getting information from staff member with our limited Spanish.
