Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

The hotel need fix a lot of things, por example in bathrooms some walls need paint, the window of bath is dangerous, the hotel need love.

The location is great. However you need to know that its very noisy esp. At the weekend. Everything was fine.

Next door to the hotel is a restaurant / bar…music played until at least 1am. So it was super loud and difficult to sleep.
Location is next to the El Poblado park which was great as we were joining a tour at 7am in the park.

Nice simple hotel- breakfast was good with fruit, cereal, eggs, and coffee. It’s right on a Main Street so location is great but because of it it gets loud at night!

There was no room in the bathroom to put anything. Not even a hook for a towel. My room (307) was right above a bar which was fine, except for the huge pumping sound throughout the night. Air circulation maybe? Staff didn’t speak English but was friendly nonetheless. No bar or restaurant but the was more than enough to do around the hotel.
The location was amazing! Big room with great aicon. The breakfast was really lovely, so was the lady who served it. Next door is a taco place which connects to the hotel WiFi so you can have a drink there.

No room to park my rental car. Taxis took up all the parking and didn't want me to park there even to check in. I had to park at a garage two blocks from Hotel Tik, and walk with most of my luggage in front of people on the street to the hotel. Not exactly good if your a tourist trying to be safe and keep a low profile. Didn't like the breakfast at all.

Door lock was never repaired during my stay. Fortunately, nothing major happened; there are security cameras everywhere. There are two bars at each side of the hotel from 2 PM to 2 AM so bring your noise cancellation devices or just join the party.

2 of 3 nights without hot water on the floor. They refused to change the room. The 3 nights were very noisy due to a bar restaurant next to the hotel.

Right next to hotel is a taco place that has live music every Fri, Sat and Sun, very loud, and they finish at 2 am or could be even later - be mindful of it. The WIFI isn't great, last 2 days of our staying wasn't working at all - we work online and luckily we were off those days.
The location is great if you wanna go out every day, located right in center of Poblado, a hipster and lively neighborhood. The room was clean and nice, however there was a lick in the bathroom - they changed our room right away. Minibar in the room. The stuff is very friendly and helpful, helped me to print bus ticket, also after check out they kept our luggage for few hours till our departure.

The sink in our bathroom had a bad leak, reception addressed it quickly but it didn't get fixed during our 3 night stay unfortunately. The bed was also really firm. So probably wouldn't stay again, but for the price it wasn't a bad value.
The location was great and the staff friendly, everyone spoke Spanish but that wasn't an issue with Google translate. The breakfast was really nice. There is loud music from the street but it's ok with earplugs.
