The menu, other than the breakfast, felt very dated. The menu was fish and meat heavy which is similar to most of the island, so as a vegetarian, be prepared for that. The menu felt as though the it hadn’t changed since opening and could do with a refresh - which is genuinely been my only downside. It isn’t too much of a problem as you can eat at the other hotel next door which has better food, however it felt a shame to take our custom elsewhere when the staff are so nice at Mucura Club

Mucura Club was an all round brilliant stay and such good value for money. The staff we so accommodating and couldn’t do more for you. Happy hour had a big range of cocktails and activities to do on side and off site. A very chilled vibe and we really enjoyed our time on the little beach 🏝️ Daniel was brilliant and have us an excellent introduction and was always on hand via WhatsApp if we needed anything. They have little kayaks you can take out around the island and the bioluminescent plankton tour which was great.

The air conditioning only works from 8pm to 8am. I understand why as it is a private island and it would be too much on the power system to have power 24/7. Also don't pay for the lunch/dinner package. Just order a la carte so you can order what you want from the menu (versus a pre-set menu with limited options for the lunch/dinner package).

As a suggestion, the activities should be explained better since I went to do the plankton tour without wearing a swimsuit that was needed (jumped to the water in underwear instead - so no issue for me but could had been fixed by explaining better the pre-requisites of the activities)

Is a simple place, needs same maintenance. Not so many options for dinner or activities around.

The location in Isla Mucura is amazing, quiet place, in front of the sea. The small beach is located on the side of the hotel, but you can access the sea straight from the wooden deck in front of the hotel. Hotel staff friendly and helpful. Good place to relax and enjoy nature.

Breakfast could have done with more variety or options. Lunch and dinner options were ok but not very good for a non meat eater. Room could have done with a touch up. More like a private room in a hostel than a hotel stay.

Beautiful island. Lovely beach with clear waters perfect for snorkelling. Friendly staff. Room was a decent size and kept clean. Lovely cocktails. Loved the quirky design.

Some variety needs to be added to the catering. Although supplies tend to be scarce in a small island, some creativity would improve the menu for the benefit of mostly non-colombian palates. Explicit rules must be established to avoid the remote case of people trying to invade other's space with the loud music typical of colombian idiosyncrasy.

Great location and sorroundings. The staff was consistently kind and responsive to our requests. Additional activities were reasonably priced and pretty nice. A place to escape from the usually big groups of loud domestic tourists that plague the beaches around Cartagena.

Too much light during the night that did not allow me to sleep and rest well. Sometimes it was too noisy with the music from the bar that was located close to my room. The last night if my stay i could not sleep and relax because they made a party in the bar !!!!

Although I might have chosen the most rainy days of the year, I had a great time at the hotel. The staff is really attentive and thoughtful. The food was really good and they offered options for vegetarians as well. The island is a great place to relax and experience activities around the sea.

The kayaking around the island was a great, although we noticed that the kayaks were filling with water so they were very heavy in the end. Can be great to check or upgrade these?

Brilliant hospitality with local charming staff which made for a truly authentic, relaxing and wonderful experience staying with Club Mucura. The food was really made with love, massive portions, even the chef was so special creating vegetarian meals. The snorkelling tour was amazing too! It was so personalised, our guide - Carlos Mario was absolutely knowledgeable, skilled and entertaining to watch as he showed us the delights of the marine life in the ocean. The host Daniel in the reception is a fantastic leader, getting involved with everything and is very happy to help with anything we needed. Would love to stay there again and 100% recommend!
