To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

United States of AmericaWhen I arrived I came with my girlfriend and we both registered. When I returned that evening I had left my room key inside the attendant at the front desk insisted I pay 35,000 COP because supposedly my girlfriend was not on my reservations although it came in together. She started arguing and behaving like a low life. No class whatsoever and threatened me by not allowing me back in my room unless I paid an additional $35,000 COP. She would be better off as a maid and not to interact with customers

CuraçaoThe restaurant closes early if i am correct at 8 ish. So if you are planning on getting dinner in the hotel you have to take the closing time into consideration.
it was good for the price. Every day you get some changes to the breakfast menu. The overall staff was also good. Furthermore it's really great to be able to have breakfast at your own comfort in your hotel.

AustriaThe safe in my room was broken so they gave me a key to unlock it instead - hardly an appropriate alternative. The hotel is next to a streetfamed for 'marcha' i.e. nightlife and the noise that goes with that. . I had an external room and the noise kept me awake each nite. There are internal rooms, but I suppose gringos making reservations through booking are not going to be priority when assigning the better rooms.
Modern hotel decorated in the IKEA style. I had a large room with an enormous double bed that was extremely comfortable. Located close to the football stadium and the metro, which is safe, clean and efficient.
