The service is amazing and food is outstanding. There are plenty things to do and relax, the beach is calm and safe, you have beautiful beaches near by that you can visit as well. You will love this place.

It was a challenge to get there and there is nothing around for miles on bumpy dirt roads. If you go, plan on staying. Not a bad place to stay for a few days though.

Amazing view from the room and nice beach. The food in the restaurant was very good.

The beach is not well kept. lots of rocks and difficult to access. need to go to the beach near by. There is not town near by. I had fever one day and the near pharmacy is 25 m away.

the hotel is a perfect retreat away from civilization. great food and restaurant, excellent room,. quite and relaxing and prety amazing pool.

Very nice hotel, located directly at the beach. Excellent restaurant and pool bar. Friendly staff. The rooms have been large, newly renovated and clean, with fridge and kitchenette. I spend a week there with my adult kids and we had lots of fun.

Meal on 2nd evening was not as expected slightly disapointing Asianrice with shrimp .

Rough roads getting to the property. No restaurants nearby (although the on-site restaurant was excellent).

The road 160 leading there is not paved and one needs to be prepared for the slow drive. But it was a pleasant surprise what we discovered and we like remoteness.

Hidden Gem ! Wish we had more days. The property is outstanding and the oceanfront villas are perfect , excellent AC, large and romantic , you can hear the waves crushing. Good size pool and amazing wild beach to walk and relax and play in the waves in the sunset. Great food and beautiful kind people working.

We tried room service on our first night and it wasn’t great. We had a difficult time getting in touch with the restaurant and the food was definitely inferior to what we received when we dined in. This location is also super remote, so I think a nice addition would be a shop that provided snacks, drinks and essentials.

Azul Hotel & Retreat was a perfect and peaceful escape. Our room was clean and very comfortable with an amazing view of the ocean. The wait staff were all excellent and incredibly friendly.

The waiters often didnt understand if we wanted something extra or different on our order. Nothing special eg: additional plate for sharing, or to take out an ingredient from the order. In the end it was always solved but with more time and explanation.

The hotel is in a big, quiet area where you can have great rest and recovery. The dedicate ocean shore is also amazing and they also offer many options to do.

I booked a turtle nesting experience online that they didn't actually have going on the dates we were there.

The aesthetic was wonderful. It's secluded and beautiful. Their spa service was excellent. The food was good. The beach was black, extremely soft volcanic sand with warm water. We felt like we had it all to ourselves most of the time. Love this place. Want to go back!

Some restaurant staff don't have any idea about (very good) custoner services. Food portions were on the tiny side.

It’s an oasis, close enough and far enough. Ample rooms with lots of privacy. Walking the nearby beaches is an absolute joy. Good is great, pool is fantastic. All facilities are wonderful. Love everything here!!

We did not love the food prices or most of the food choices/ taste. Fortunately we were able to find some fantastic local restaurants close by. We also did not like the unfinished roads with some huge potholes going on for about 20/30 mins to get to the hotel. However the hotel was really lovely as stated above.

Loved the room, the view, the hotel amenities and the lovely friendly staff. There were lots of games, including table tennis, pool large chess, weekly yoga and massage available. It was a fabulous location once you got there❤️
