Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. Room service options were limited and you had to call to have your plates taken when you were done.
Great location right on the beach. Very family friendly, not overly crowded in the restaurant or the pool. Staff was very friendly, responsive, and accommodating.

The elevator in our building did not work
Beautiful spot right on the beach with an open air restaurant and bar. Grounds were lush. Beach had very few people each day. The staff were incredibly friendly. Johnathan was so kind to our children at dinner and encouraged them to speak Spanish. Alexis greeted us every morning at breakfast and shared about their culture. Roy arranged some great tours for us. Jairo was the most kind and attentive person.

There was a wedding on the beach during our stay - the party lasted into the wee hours of the night. We understand that these folks love to party- it was a bit noisy but- we understood.
The staff at the hotel were wonderful. Everyone went the extra mile to assure that we truly enjoyed our visit. Restaurant was excellent- with wonderful local cuisine. We would certainly recommend the Bosque for a wonderful beach hotel experience.

A bir isolated. No minibar, snacks, tea or bottled water available in the room, no clothes line or drying rack in the room while having a rule of not hanging wet bathers etc on verandah; small pool, “outdoor hot tub” in fact an outdoor bath with no hot water! A bit pricey, breakfast extra.
Beachside location, garden, size, not far from the airport, large room with pleasant sea view, large bed, strong aircon, friendly, helpful staff, happy hour in upstairs bar

1. We did not request a quiet room as the survey suggests- this was not a romantic get away 2. The hot tub was not what we expected. It was a bathtub with no jets. 3. The air conditioning didn't work in our room the first night, but was fixed and it was attended to promptly
Breakfast was spendy but very good. Location and grounds were beautiful. Appreciate the ready supply of beach towels. Rooms were extremely clean.

The wifi was spotty at times in the room, but that just reminded me to get off my phone and get to the beach. There’s a little gap between the door and the floor so there were some bugs in the room, but that wasn’t a big deal.
We had a great time! The staff was so sweet and accommodating! The restaurant staff was beyond exceptional. The rooms were clean and the beach was beautiful! The beach is second to none, it was never super crowded and the temperature was perfect. We even got to see some eagle rays glide past us! The pool is great, perfect for kids.

The swimming pool was a little cool and had no sun exposure, however the wonderful beach totally compensated .
Everything here was superb! The facilities, the staff, the food…it was the hilite of our time in Costa Rica.

Part of the hotel was being renovated so every day there was the sound of drilling and hammering.

Amazing service. The hotel also preserved so much of the natural surroundings. We've seen howler monkeys in the treetops giving you a true jungle feel. Loved this place!

The hotel was amazing. When we checked in, we were greeted with a delightful fruit drink before being shown our rooms. To say our rooms were spacious is an understatement. My husband and I had a garden view room, and it was huge: a large walk in shower, couch sofa, two queen beds, a deck, two tvs, fridge, coffee maker, etc. The location could not have been better. It was a five (or less) minute walk to the beach, a somewhat secluded bay, with gorgeous sunsets. The food at the hotel was excellent; we enjoyed breakfast and happy hour with a light supper almost every day we were there. Highly recommend.

The restaurant has generally bland food and resort+ prices. One of our lunches had moldy bread. This area needs some work.
The hotel has an excellent location and helpful friendly staff. I love how they integrated the rooms and facilities into the forest surrounding the beach. It is quiet and secluded and has great beach access. The only noise comes from the monkeys living in the trees. The rooms are even more spacious and comfortable than I expected.

The grounds were beautiful and the room was also. We loved the large clean window looking out at the forest greenery. It’s location on the beach is wonderful. The pool area was very nice and a family of monkeys were hanging in the trees above. The restaurant and bar area were fun. We had a fairly short rain storm which was exciting. Staff were very nice, and we loved our welcome drink.

The breakfast was no good and the service was very slow but that was ok because the place is beautiful. A place like this should always offer a bathrobe, but that was not the case.
