The receptionist is unwelcoming and unfriendly. After a long and tiring journey, to run into this gentleman who only wanted to tell us we would be fined if we lost our pool towel or room key was appalling further more to tell us not to ask questions until he had finished explaining what was important to him was plainly rude. This was a good hotel once slowly going down hill. Breakfast is unappetising and the apparatus they use is unhygienic. My best advice to the hotel is if you don’t use it or it hasn’t been cleaned in the last ten years throw it out!!!

The pool area is a beautiful oasis which makes you feel you are in the jungle simply lovely. We had a room beside the pool which was super. The rooms are very large and comfortable, nice bathrooms Great cleaning staff that keep the rooms super clean. Staff individually very pleasant.

The front desk staff are pleasant but not overly friendly - so not so welcoming when you arrive or need something (by comparison to all of the other places we stayed). The room we had was small and very noisy with the road traffic and barking dogs that begin around 5am. Although your car is in a secured garage, it’s a little inconvenient to have to go to the front desk every time to have them open the garage door when you want to go out or go back in…beep of your own or atleast a bell instead of having to walk to the front desk would be better.

The property is in a good location and the grounds are beautiful with a very tropical feel to it. We even had some monkeys visit for breakfast. Having two pools was nice. We ate at the restaurant several times and the food was absolutely delicious - very well presented too!

Breakfast tends to dry up in the last hour and you aren't left with a lot of choices if you arrive in that time. Location wise- there also aren't a massive amount of restaurants nearby.

Very happy with our stay here. It exceeded expectations. Comfortable, great pool, close to the park.

The staff was very happy to help out anytime. Our room was beside the pool, that area is so beautiful, we felt like we were in the middle of the jungle, we loved it. The meals were excellent, although they could add more vegan options on their menu. I would recommend this lovely place to everyone.

It could be a little noisy at night with vehicle noises, barking dogs and roosters.

The pools and gardens were beautiful. I loved that there was a lap pool. The staff were helpful and kind. The breakfast buffet was pretty good. Being self-serve made it great for the mornings that we had to go to early activities. Even though it's in a busy area we still had the pleasure of being woken up by howler monkeys.

More vegetarian options for breakfast would be nice, but that seems to be everywhere in Costa Rica

The breakfast was mediocre with not much variation. We managed to keep it interesting for the three nights we stayed but would struggle with a week of the same choices. The Villa was cleaned beautifully but like many other resorts, the tile floor was swept but not washed which made our feet/socks dirty after just a few minutes. Not a major issue but the floors need a good scrub.

We stayed in the suite which was a really lovely spacious accommodation set amongst the Lush jungle. The resort felt intimate and private. The pools were lovely and the staff were really friendly and happy to help. My sensitive skin reacted to the bedsheets and they immediately acted on my request to rinse out the bedding. Overall we had a lovely stay here and would recommend it to friends and family.

It is an underground parking. Too steep to drive in/out and too small to turn around inside it. In addition, the property locates on the top of hill. Road is so narrow .It is a bit challenging to drive there at night.

There are so many good things: a big room, a sofa outside of room, a swimming pool and a nice breakfast.

There was nothing to not like. The breakfast is pretty traditional but that’s the same everywhere, in all of the hotels.

The setting is lovely. There are 2 nice fairly small swimming pools, one for laps and one for more fun. They are surrounded by beautiful trees. The restaurant is staffed by very friendly people and the food is good. The beds are comfortable and the room is very clean. The Wi-Fi worked. It’s a really decent hotel. I would definitely stay again.

Location, in between Quespos and Manuel Antonio but also on a noisy morning road. Its old hotel but with ok buffet breakfast that is very unusual in Costa Rica.

Nothing that I can think of

The social area by the pool was too close to some of the rooms, including ours. On each night there was a lot of noise coming from here late at night and sometimes very early in the morning. This was aggravated by the poor noise insulation in the room (shutter-style windows). The bar by the pool is also disused and it would be good if the bartender would come down to the pool to take drink orders rather than having to go up to the restaurant bar. The room was also quite small for the price.

The pool, the staff and the food was very good. We were visiting over christmas and the staff were very helpful, friendly and accommodating.

The room was very dark. The foam cushions on the lounge chairs around the pool were left in the rain and remained wet for the next few days. Some reception staff were great and others not so friendly. It is a really lovely place, but could be so much better.

The property was lovely with all the trees and the pool. The happy hour was fun and the restaurant staff were great. Could walk to town and other restaurants. The room was large and clean
