One room apartment for 4 ppl is very small.

Especially the breakfast was great and also the quite location.

Cabins were in need of some updating. Not much insulation from sound so surrounding noises made sleep somewhat difficult—motorcycles, Good Friday preparations and other guests walking dogs. Arheoom needs help. Bedside lights would be nice rather than just the overhead.

Cute cabins with restaurant onsite made it easy for our family location just outside of Cartago was great!

I missed the A/C or a heater. There was only a small plug in heater which could hardly warm up the place. The noise of the traffic comes in hard.

There was nothing not to like really. Maybe that your vehicle had to be parked so far from your car. But it was no big deal. The paths are pleasant and easy to navigate with luggage.

It was beautiful, well kept with little gardens. The cabins were neatly situated off to the side, which allowed you to step out and see the gorgeous mountain landscape. It was quiet there at night and the staff are always available to help if you need it. Even late. When we woke up late because we got in late, even though the kitchen was closed, they reopened and made us probably the best breakfast of our trip!

The cabins were comfortable yet gave a rugged outdoorsy feeling and the view was great. Close to a few restaurants and not too far from Bosque de Prusia (Forest trails) and Volcan Irazu.

There was no fridge in the room! Bathroom was a bit small for two .

The room was cosy and the bedding excellent! The environment was just gorgeous and the staff very pleasant! Breakfast was excellent!

The nearby road was a little bit noisy.

Nice cabins with great views in a beautiful garden. The young team is very professional and friendly, and the restaurant and especially the breakfast was among the best we had in this country.

The towel holder was too close to the toilet paper dispenser.

Great comfy beds and pillows, the room was extremely clean and had a pleasant cedary smell. The staff went above and beyond, they even stored our precious queso turrialba in their fridge.

The road next to the hotel was loud so it might be annoying to people who require absolute silence at night.

Super friendly staff, one of the best breakfasts we’ve had in all Costa Rica! The cabin was very cozy. It did get a little cold during the night but the heater and a couple of blankets sere sufficient. Ideal place to stay if you’re arriving in the afternoon/evening and planning a morning trip to Irazu.

It's kind of a noisy spot. The pictures lead you to believe it's off on it's own but it's really next to a busy highway. Also across from an industrial activity.

The facility was meticulously maintained and attractive. The quality of the food in the restaurant was exceptional. The staff were friendly and helpful. I wish we had spent more time there.

The street near the hotel is a bit noisy.

Grandpas hotel and restaurant exceeded our expectations. The location is great if you are planning visiting Volcan Irazú. The facilities are beautiful, the cabins are very comfortable and clean. The best of the hotel is the people. All the employees from the front desk to the restaurant are very warm, and nice. Always prompt to give you the best service. We were very pleased during our stay. Thank you to Axel, Edgar, María José, Emily, Pablo and all of the employees who made our stay, wonderful!

There's no streaming device so you can only watch local tv. Could be a good idea to have live music and a fire pits in the garden for the summer nights.

It would be great to have a mini fridge in the room and maybe a kettle, so one could make coffee/tea.

Grandpas Hotel features some spacious bungalows in a very convenient location to visit Volcan Irazu. The bed and the pillows are outstanding - we had a super comfortable night! The included breakfast is excellent and the staff is very accommodating and friendly!

Showers turn cold after ±7 minutes of showering. It would be nice to have coffee facilities in the room. I like to make my own hot drinks to drink at my own leasure in rooms.

The bed was amazing. Best bed with great pillows that I have had so far in Costa Rica out of 9 places I've slept at. The terrein was beautiful, lovely neat garden with a view over the mountains. Good food at their restaurant.

Beautiful bungalows in a convenient location to visit Volcan Irazu. Most comfortable bed we have had in Costa Rica! Extra pillows and cozy comforter for the chilly night. Excellent breakfast included with a great view.
