The beds had really thin blankets- like a sheet. I get it- it is a hot place, but with the air conditioning etc, a comforter might have been nice.

One of the bedrooms had an odor that really bothered me. It would have been nice to have breakfast included. Prices at the restaurant are a little high but we enjoyed happy hour.

The location was great and we enjoyed the space and comfort of our three bedroom villa. Walking distance to the beach was great and so close to Manuel Antonio park! The staff was very friendly. Appreciated having the kitchen necessities too. The beds were comfy too!

Wifi barely worked and often just had to turn it off to use phone. Beds are not the most comfortable, especially the bunk beds. Bedding lines also need to be upgraded but are ok. Staff is friendly when you interact with them but they do not go out of their way to interact or see if you need anything.

Location is great and the hotel is very cute. Monkeys are hanging out by the dining area/pool almost daily. Staff was very attentive to needs and the food there was good.

We loved the Jungle Beach Hotel - it was like you were staying right in the jungle but just a short walk away from the beach - amazing! They had a great restaurant and pool - we loved that they were both located close together… super nice for families w kids. We saw so many monkeys & birds right from our room and from the restaurant- it was very exciting :) and they had air conditioned rooms - super important for getting good sleeps. We would definitely recommend this hotel to others.

Biggest negative was the electric showers, coming from the US those scared me a bit. And the rooms themselves are a bit dated, although perfectly clean.

Location is amazing. A 3m walk from a beautiful beach, but truly nestled in a jungle - we saw monkeys, deer, and colorful birds hanging around the pool with us! Staff was very friendly and helped set up lots of activities for us - the rafting was a highlight! Rooms were perfectly comfortable with good AC. The pool/bar area they had was very pleasant to hang out at.

I knew from pictures online the room were not fancy, they were basic and simply but I still liked having a king bed plus bunk beds for the kids and a table in the room - much more convenient than most hotel room setups out there! They are probably due for an update soon but we had no issues with the room during our 3 nights there.

The pool area which includes a covered deck for eating, bar area, etc all looked new and was in great shape. The kids loved swimming and hanging out here, we saw lizards and monkeys on the deck. Greta location convenient to everything. Food was also very good, staff super friendly and helpful! They helped us book two tours during our stay which we enjoyed

a lovely hotel! room was so spacious and fantastic for our stay. we spent lots of time round the pool where we were visited daily by monkeys, iguanas, deer and tucans! Carlos the barman was so helpful and cheerful and made us great drinks all day. its a 3 minute walk from the beach and a small shop for most of what you need. 10 minutes from the park (make sure you book in advance).

Nothing really

Feels like you are in a jungle but it is just a few minutes of walking to a lovely beach. Also walking distance to MA park. Basic minimalistic room, but lovely restaurant/pool area with monkeys visiting daily. Food and drinks are good, and they have Happy hour. Staff is friendly and helpful, got us a horseback riding tour to a waterfall with pickup from the hotel. We also went to MA park after checking out, and they held our luggage for us at no charge.

The shower power was not great... and the restaurant was quite expensive but all restaurants in MA were really expensive

The staff were amazing and the location was great. The kids particularly loved the hotel. And, we honestly saw more wildlife at the hotel than in the park. Howler, Capuchin and Squirrel monkeys visited every day and sometimes all at the same time. The local beach was dreamy too.

Cons; The beds were uncomfortable and a heavier blanket is needed. The suite we had was in a terrible location right next to the street with the head of the bed against the window. Good luck getting more than 4 hours sleep between the extremely loud bus which sounds like it’s rolling on your head and the traffic blazing down the street until 0100 each night and then starting back at 0500. On the bright side, you don’t need an alarm?! Breakfast could be offered and included for the expensive rate paid.

Somewhere to lounge. Aside from the bed there was nowhere to sit in the room. There was some painting work going on, so the outside area by the room wasn't available for much of the stay.

Staff were fantastic and went out of their way to give advice, help with any requests, activity booking, reservations etc. Not a lot of rooms so was very chilled out and relaxing around restaurant and pool area. Proximity to everything was great. Howler Monkeys and other wildlife so close was a bonus.

Lukewarm shower.

We had a very comfortable one night stay. Room was good with a large comfortable bed and the bathroom was fine, although the shower was only lukewarm. Bar / restaurant was excellent with good, very friendly service and good Happy Hour cocktails. Very good breakfast. Very good location for the beach and MA National Park walkable in 15 minutes.
