Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomTv in the room, but wifi service very poor so it didn’t really work.
We stayed in a little cabin, very clean, slightly odd bathroom, but everything worked, and it was very cozy.

ItalyYou need to deal with insects, but that's nature..
The location itself is a destination! We slept in a transparent glamping, it was stunning (you can admire a sky full of stars in the night and the sunrise will wake you up). Nature and colors look in HR. Amazing! We woke up with sunrise lights, the glamping has a transparent roof, but it's part of the game. The hotel is pretty far from the main road but easy to reach through a feasible unpaved road (we didn't have a 4*4).

United States of AmericaThe room was a little rustic, with no provision to hang clothing. There was a small couch, but it was very low to the floor.
We both had the "typico" breakfast, and were more than happy. This property is very quiet, away from main roads - surrounded by mountains and farmland. This might be too remote for some people, but a perfect setting for us. The staff were very friendly and helpful, yet professional.

Costa RicaThere is nothing to dislike. The climate is cool so be sure to bring a warm jacket or sweater.
The hotel is situated in a beautiful rural setting , surrounded by abundant green pastures. The cabins and glamping tents are all separated from one another so there is great privacy. It is a family run business and each of them is very personable and so willing to explain things about the surroundings. Meals were delicious, including an abundant breakfast.

United States of AmericaThere were a few bugs in the room, which is understandable given the area. Also we didn't realize that the short hike adjacent to the property you have to pay to go on, seems like it should be free with the stay. These are minor issues though and we still liked the stay enough to give it a 10
Great place, very beautiful! We had a lovely time. Great breakfast, friendly and helpful staff. Gorgeous area. Went horseback riding and did a cow milking tour.

United States of AmericaThe wind at night makes a lot of noise when swaying the trees over the dome (and the morning sun has no option but to shine in through the transparent roof), but very minor complaints overall :)
Wow, this location was gorgeous and far more beautiful than we could've expected. Overall a fantastic value; we were impressed at how affordable not only the room was, but also the hotel restaurant. This was one of the most relaxing and tranquil locations we've ever been to, and the staff were all so kind and helpful. Highly recommend!

Germanyvery nice personnel. It is the family itself who works there. The food was really good. I could ask what ever I wanted to know, and they helped me every time being very friendly. I loved “my little house” with two floors, situated next to the entrance of the park. Waterfalls close. I saw the footprint of a puma. A very quiet an relaxing place, pure tranquilit.

Costa RicaThe cottage we stayed in works best for a single person, or a couple. The room upstairs was so tiny and difficult to access, my 5 foot 10 inch tall son could not go up the tinny stairs; really meant for a child.
The food and service were exceptional. The staff were top rate. The location, out of this world. I took my son and fiancée up for the day, and once there they were "bummed" we had to move on. The architectural design for the main lodge, restaurant, is simply captivating, and the cabins are spread out over a huge area providing excellent privacy. We had the local cat and dog, and yes, even the most adorable Jersey cow from their dairy farm, stop by our cottage for some love. Surreal. But remember: Costa Rica is a work out. Get in shape before you attempt any hiking here. This place, the hikes in the adjacent Castro Blanco Reserve is not for wimps, especially the cascades, and the Platanar Volcano hikes.

United States of AmericaIt's a 10 minute drive on rough road up to the hotel and from the hotel, so make sure your tires are strong and thick.
This was a beautiful location where you can truly enjoy the nature and the fresh air. You can see the Arenal volcano from the patio while having breakfast. The pets, Luna and Kitti, were so friendly and made us feel at home. The hiking path behind the hotel was exciting and scary at the same time. The town close-by, Ciudad Quesada was very convenient, drinks and food were non-tourist prices and people were very friendly.
