Room was spacious, comfortable, clean and quiet. Well located, off main road. Walk to beach took about 10 minutes. Plenty of restaurants within walking distance.

We loved our stay here. La Ramona Charming is a lovely 5 unit hotel, just a few mins away from everything you need. The hotel is family owned. They are all very friendly and helpful. A daily breakfast is made to order and it is delicious. You won’t walk away hungry for sure! The hotel is tucked away on a quiet side street, just a 5 min walk to the shops and beach. The rooms are comfy and the wifi works well. We were a group of four and stayed in the family suite. It worked well for us. We would definitely stay again.

Minor detail. The airco was placed right across the bed so with airco it got too cold at night, and without it was just too hot.

The location is very calm and on walking distance from the the center and beach. The hosts were very friendly to also provide breakfast before the actual hours so that we could eat before our surf class.

The road out front is not well paved and it's uphill from the beach - but those are the nature of the town and geography - just a note to visitors (not the hotel's "fault")

This hotel really is charming with a lot of attention paid to design, both outdoors and in! The rooms were modern, compact and lovely and well equipped and soundproof. There is a small refrigerator and coffee maker in the room plus great shower and comfortable bedroom with an effective air conditioner. The owner himself cooked breakfast with an assistant and it was consistently delicious -- filled us up for the whole day, served on a lovely outdoor patio. Guests can even use the hotel's outdoor microwave to heat their own tea or snacks. Staff cleaned the room every day which is nice in a beach area - you can't believe how much hidden sand one tracks in from the beach. Each room has a unique outdoor sitting area and the pool is small but perfect for cooling off after a hot Costa Rican day. There are many many restaurants and stores within walking distance. We did walk to the beach every day - it took 10 - 15 minutes depending on which area we went to. The owners were delightful and helpful. All of this for a price considerably lower than other area hotels. They are building some new units which is good news for anyone who wants a charming short term stay in Tamarindo.

Pavel is very friendly and knowledgeable, the hotel is family-owned and clean. The breakfast is personalized, the pool is refreshing, Wi-Fi is good, and it’s close to both the town and the beach. Additionally, Pavel is an interesting conversationalist with many interests.

Nothing for us, but atm the there is an extension being built and workers start around 0700, so can wake you up. Was fine for us as we wake early.

A lovely, intimate, hotel set a little away from the hustle and bustle of Tamarindo. Although only 5 min walk from restaurants. Owner and staff were really helpful. Room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. Outdoor shower was a great feature, as was the swinging chair.

We liked everything about the property and our stay. We were welcomed by the hosting family and were allowed to store our luggage as we arrived earlier than check-in. We love that the hotel is family-owned, and the rooms were spotless. The outdoor shower in our room was a nice surprise. Our patio featured a swinging chair which became a favourite spot for reading or catching up on emails. The property is not beachfront, but after a day at the beach or in the centre, we were happy to return to our quiet retreat located a short walk away from all the hustle and bustle.

Wr had an amazing experience at La Ramona Charming Hotel in Costa Rica. It really is charming. The staff was incredibly friendly, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the hotel's location provided a perfect blend of tranquility and accessibility to local attractions. The clean and refreshing pool, along with air conditioning in every room, added to the overall comfort. I highly recommend it for a delightful stay!

Nothing - everything was great!

The staff at this hotel were so lovely, they went above and beyond to make sure we were well looked after - including giving us some excellent restaurant recommendations! The rooms were very modern and stylish, the pool area was also very modern. We really enjoyed the breakfast. The hotel is very small so felt very welcoming and personal. Location is great - just away from the busyness of the town so very quiet, but only a short walk (5 minutes) to the town.

For thosw who don't have a car and walk to the beach, it's a bit far. But if you're at the beach all day and want to have dinner near the hotel, there is lots of nice places to choose from.

Large room with king size bed. Shower was also good sized. Small pool but large enough to feel like you're going for a dip ! Good breakfast in the morning which was included in our stay. Would stay again.

Great cozy hotel. There are just 5 rooms, so I would say it is like a botique hotel. Rooms are spacious and extremly clean. Breakfast was tasty. Just 7-8 min walking to the beach and 3 min, 5 min to the main street and 3 min to the supermarket. Location is safe. There was also a parking spot right in front of the hotel that was important for us. Pavel - the owner and general manager - was nice and very helpful.

You have to walk down the dirt road to get to the beach which gets dusty with the traffic. It isn't ideal but this is not the faulty of hotel.

Everything here was amazing but the staff and service were above and beyond. You couldn't have asked for better service. It really was above and beyond. We loved the morning breakfast as well as the fact that there are only 5 rooms in this hotel so you really do get the secluded feel we were looking for.
