Compared to the standard of Costa Rica, San José is much cheaper and better value for money. This was a comfortable place, clean and with friendly and helpful staff.

It was a little difficult to find late at night.

We had to check in very late, and reception was very accommodating. The breakfast was fantastic! It was so nice to have a choice of meals and the service was great.

Location doesn't have many restaurants or cafes at walking distance, but if you have a car it's not really a thing

The beds, pillows, were so comfortable. Nice room, nice shower. No humid or bad smells. Good wifi. Great breakfast. They have a restaurant for dinner as well. Staff was super kind and helpful. Even arranged a breakfast to go because I had a surgery that day. Place is beautiful and quiet. I've been in around 5 different «nice»hotels in San Jose. Finally found the one ill be coming back to.

The pool wasn't very clean. Breakfast was great but something seemed to be missing each day, usually toast. The room could have had a place to hang nice clothes.

The staff was very helpful in giving directions on where to go and what to see. Arranged transport to the places we needed to get to, including to and from the airport.

Food was a little pricey and less choice than we’d hoped for. But what we did have was really lovely. (We were too tired to eat out and breakfast was included though was tricky to understand what was on offer. If you choose granola, yogurt and fruit- the granola is a garnish - not the main event)

Staff couldn’t have been more helpful or accommodating. Place was quiet, clean, modern but attractive and the gardens though tiny were lovely (with pool and seating area). Not a big hotel or impersonal. If we wanted something (taxi) we asked for it but otherwise they left us alone to enjoy. If you’re there in rainy season - the restaurant is a block, the rooms are in blocks, reception is a block, with external pathways to connect to. Could get wet.

Nothing to complain about. It is away from the centre, and we didn't really explore the local area that much.

Loved this place. A peaceful setting, with spacious and eco-friendly rooms. Friendly and helpful staff. A tasty omelette breakfast choice. Also turns into a nice restaurant in the evening. It was about a 20-minute taxi ride into San Jose. But at the end of the day of seeing the city, it was nice to come back somewhere a bit more relaxing.

Dinner at the restaurant on our arrival night seemed a bit overpriced. Our room was on the first floor, so we had to carry our bags up the stairs.

Great stop for the first night in Costa Rica. Close to the Airport, away from busy San Jose. Santa Ana is a nice place with lots of local flair. Quiet surrounding. Large room. Good breakfast. Friendly staff.

Highly recommend! Clean, spacious with little kitchenette, couch and terrace. Brought our doggies and they were happy too. There is also a dog park adjacent. Restaurant lovely and all staff excellent. Easy location.

Nothing to complain about really. Just be aware this hotel is in Santa Ana, not San Jose city and it is a $10 taxi or so to San Jose city. But we knew this, we went for the weekend to Santa Ana to get out of San Jose to check out many of the good restaurants and breweries with mountain view.

This is a cute little hotel a little outside downtown Santa Ana. You can easily walk from there in about 10-15 min to all the restaurants etc in Santa Ana. With the free upgrade from a regular room to a suite, the price was fine. The restaurant and breakfast is also very nice. The pancake that comes with the American breakfast is great!
