Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

BelarusOverall great place to stay in Prague, localization is the best for my liking, in the old town but not on the busiest street just a bit on a side so it's not that loud but all the attractions are within walking distance. The metro station is also near by as well as trams. The apartment itself was very specious and clean, even better than on the pictures. The only minus for me was that the room was a bit cold, but I guess it depends on one's preference. Would definitely stay there again.

GermanyAs said, the carpentry in the apartment is truly decades old and low quality; this includes both windows and doors. While the building itself is relatively well insulated and you won't be hearing much going on in other apartments between walls, even the SLIGHTEST creak from folks walking up the stairs or a conversation between people smoking cigarettes on the inner terraces will be loud enough to hear every word. Despite having THREE doors closed (the front door, the door between the hallway and the living room, AND the door between the living room and the bedroom, hearing families walking up the stairs, especially with energetic children, woke us up at random times (for reference, my husband is not a light sleeper; I myself am a moderately light sleeper, but normally I don't wake up in the night at all, unless there's hustle going on somewhere near). Worse yet, you ought to know that Prague is infamous for sex tourism and that Ve Smeckach is a street of brothels and strip clubs. Should you be placed in an apartment facing the street (that's 6 out of their 12 apartments), be prepared for belligerent men screaming in the street throughout the night, every night. With straw-thin carpentry, there's nothing to protect you from the noise, especially since the building itself is merely three stories high (the people screaming will often not be more than 5-10 meters physically away from you). The second day of my trip was completely ruined for my family as I could not string together 30 mins of continuous sleep, given the constant shouting outside. Conversely, my husband, who's a deeper sleeper, woke up "merely" 4-5 times. Over the course of three nights, there hadn't been a night where we weren't woken up around 5 times at a minimum. For EUR 120+ per night, it would be much more advisable to have decent carpentry, which would fully solve this issue, than a dishwasher.
Important - read the whole review. In terms of spaciousness, location, and amenities for the price, Smecky apartments are absolute gems and mostly worth the price (read until the end). The apartments have a separate bedroom AND a separate kitchen/dining room, making things easier for families or travelers where one person would want to rest while the others eat or watch TV. The showers are wonderfully spacious, and the dishwasher is another nice touch. Equally great is the location - the building is located just off one of the city's busiest main streets. Every major landmark and sightseeing spot is easily reachable either on foot or by tram, there is absolutely no need to use a car (it would actually not even be advisable to use a car in the center of Prague). Even families with very small children will never have a hard time moving around as the trams are ubiquitous and have plenty of space for strollers. The accommodation is also pet-friendly, massive kudos for that! However, these apartments aren't suitable for light sleepers, as the carpentry is old, meaning there is lots of noise from the streets throughout the night.

GermanyNoisy neighbours could be heard easily, it seems the insulation between apartments is no so good, but so far they respect the calm hours.
The host was super helpful giving a lot of details on how to check-in and check-out. The apartment is very well located, easy to find and to access. The place was super clean on arrival, with everything ready to sleep comfortably in.

A nice apartment very close to the city centre. Absolutely top were: clean, space, silent, personal (owner) For us a highlight: personal garage in which our V-class matched, our dog was welcome, city centre close, no need for any transport
