Communication was a bit of an issue as none of the hosts seem to speak any English so we didn't interact much and couldn't ask any questions or recommendations. Luckily a "welcome book" in English is provided in the room which explains the basics but we had to guess where we could put our skis / boots (no ski room). Our flight was delayed so we had to check in late but it wasn’t clear how to gain access or what code was needed or how to pick up the keys – ended up having to call as none of the booking.com codes worked. Only at check-out we found out that there is an extra local tax to pay – which was €18 for 3 nights – apparently it's standard but it wasn’t mentioned at time of booking. Location is OK if you have a car but there is little immediately close to the hotel (no shops but you can buy drinks at the hotel). There is also no common space where you can wait after a check-out – sitting in the breakfast room area was not allowed even though it was empty. Something easy to fix - there is black mould around the bathroom skylight window.

Top floor double room with balcony was comfortable and spacious - with a nice view. Bed was comfortable. Walk in shower had strong water pressure and plenty of hot water, basic shower gel provided. Decent hairdryer. We also appreciated the large bottle of complementary water and little chocolates on the pillows. Room was cleaned every day. Breakfast was OK but nothing special – standard continental choice of ham, cheese, spreads, yoghurts. Only filter coffee was served and hard boiled eggs.

Nice, family run hotel. Clean, cosy rooms, friendly staff, comfy beds. Good basic breakfast, lovely soft rolls. Walking distance to lots of restaurants and the ski lifts. Just what we wanted!

We got room on the top floor. It was cozy and warm, with balcony and view on the mountains. Breakfast was simple, but everything was fresh and well served. A bit far away from train station or city center, so you would need to walk c.a 20 mins one way.

The hotel was clean, quiet and the room was cosy. the rooms had their own toilet and a balcony with a view of the mountains. The hotel was in a quiet area with quick access to the outdoor areas. We had a great time there and will definitely come again in the future!

There are no hot water kettles and no fridges in the rooms. I would suggest having a kettle / hot water boiler in the common area for the guests. Sometimes you just need a cup of hot tea/coffee. Otherwise, everything else is nice.

It's our second stay in the hotel and I'm sure we will come back again. The location of the hotel is very convenient. Super close to the lifts, train station and ski lifts. The staff is always friendly and ready to help. Nice breakfast. It's pet friendly hotel that was very important for us.

Shower floor was flat and shiny and no rubber mat provided. Quite a trek from the station on foot.

Very clean and uncluttered. Breakfast good (I like German/Austrian rolls!) The balconies front and back would be a nice bonus in summer, I imagine. Staff very obliging when I asked for a second pillow; also helped me with luggage to taxi.

Super location with great views of the mountain range. The hotel is in walking distance from Garmisch center, and local open traffic services. The hotel is simply exquisite!

The location was quiet residential area on the edge of Garmisch. The room was spacious, nice modern bathroom, great little balcony. Breakfast was unspectacular but satisfying. Check in was smooth despite my late arrival.
