Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Astonishing location, public transport right outside the hotel. The AC worked perfectly, so coming back to the hotel after a long hot day felt super relaxing. Sheets were clean and the staff was nice! Would rate a 10/10 definitely stay here again

We arrived before 3pm and had a smooth check in experience with the staff who were at the desk. They were kind and informative. The room was spacious, and as we were staying 3 nights, it gave great comfort. The shower was nice and powerful, and the bed was comfortable . I have zero complaints. I am an experienced traveller to Berlin, and can say 1000% this hotel has a great location and for just visiting Berlin, is a top pick. You can easily reach the property with a short 5 minute walk from Friedrichstrasse station (tip go to the back of the platform and use the bridge exit, it makes your travelling even easier).

Bin had items in on arrival so hadn't been emptied, no drawers at all in the room. You use a code to enter the room but the hallway is quite dark so was a little difficult to enter. I reported the safe not being usable and the staff member took my details and said it would be dealt with - it never was. Our sleep was shocking there was an intermittent loud buzzing noise all through day/night (it sounded like drilling but just a couple of short bursts). I reported it and they offered to swap rooms to a room in almost the same place but did not really understand what I was saying....the noise was not in our room so a room close by would I felt have encountered the same issue!
Location was excellent and though the room was very small it was well laid out and clean (apart from the bin). Excellent air conditioning/heating.

Bed was soft and comfortable. More comfortable than my own bed at home. Shower was so good after a cold winter night. Warm water with high pressure water. Staff was nice. Locker rooms. Good location! Love this hotel so much im going to buy a share of it

The hotel is a bit outside the tourist area. The bathroom setup was unconventional but was fine for a weekend. The room was a bit close if travelling with colleagues. We had a twin room but there wasn't much room between the beds.
There was a nice café near by, the streets surrounding the hotel were quiet. Staff were nice and friendly.

The building was pretty noisy (pipes, and electrical noises) and there was not a nice smell coming from the shower.
The room was very big and very nice with a great view over the roofs and huge windows. The location is great for the city centre and all kind of transportation.

They told to me that i can check in and check out 24 hours but they didn't told me that it's 15€ extra if i want to check in/check out out of the given hours in booking app. And the request to select an hour to to check in but again they didn't told me that if this is before the check in given hours it's 15minutes extra. And after that 5 minutes after i did the check in they send me a message to told me that if i want to check out before 2a.m.(the hour that check in began to be available). Also, the booking included cleaning room service and they told me if it was a problem to not have cleaning service in my room.

The room was very very small, even as the bathroom. The soap in the dispenser was removed in the shower. This resulted in a chalk and mold in the dispenser, they could have cleaned this or completely remove the dispenser.

There was an overwhelming smell of cigarettes/smoke that kept me awake. I don’t know what the source was, whether the linen or if it was coming from outside the room somewhere.
