This is one of the best hotels I have stayed in, in the world! Exceptional in every way. Also surprisingly it was not as far from the centre as I imagined, a beautiful walk alongside the lake, then a short walk across the park to Tram line 6 or to the train station. I imagine most people staying here would take taxis, but for those who have saved for a special treat, that it is accessible by public transport may be useful info. There is a fair at night in the park, far away enough not to hear it, but close enough to walk, which my daughter loved. The fitness rooms & spa area are fantastic! 3 floors & superbly designed with views onto the park. Swimming outside in a heated pool in the rain was a very special experience. Children are allowed in the pool but obviously not in the saunas. The dining rooms are magnificent, with chandeliers..A very grand breakfast experience!

The sauna had a “must be naked” rule. This is totally normal in some countries and too weird (sometimes illegal!) in others. Would be better to be able to choose to wear trunks or to be naked. Maybe have a women’s only sauna if helpful. The wine was good but very very very expensive. Left us feeling a little ripped off so only drank there once. Good chips though!

The staff were so friendly and let us speak a little German and English when needed. The park location was great as we could go for walks after breakfast. The English breakfast was great, they had loads of other choices too but the full English was superb (though no black pudding! ;-) The swimming pool was heated and so you could go swimming on a cold day and in the rain, it was great!

It's fantastic and very peaceful hotel to stay. The menu was short, but delicious. Many services to offer and the location is beatuiful. The massage was refreshing. In the recepion the personnel were very helpful. We had a cat with us.

The closets need renovation. The breakfast was not satisfactory for a 5 stars hotel. There was just an ordinary cake as dessert.

Hotel looks fabulous, rooms are clean and have everything you might need. Spa was excellent! Warm outside pool, different saunas. Breakfast was also great. We certainly enjoyed our stay and would love to come back.

Although we had booked one of the bigger and more expensive suites that they have and had requested an early check-in, we did not receive the key even a single minute earlier than the official time. The bathroom looked great but one could smell the sewerage given the old piping behind the new finish. The room was comfortable but had a very "old" look and feel

The whole place gives a nice grand feeling. The building is a very old one. It is well kept and the facilities are quite good. The breakfast was really nice and the cigar lounge looked great! (Did not get the time to use it)

The location is a bit of a boring walk into the city, but you can get a tram if you go across the park to Am Stern stop.

Wonderful hotel which lived up to being 5*. It was very relaxing to stay with great staff, who were always on hand. Breakfast is quite expensive, but was included in our deal and plenty to choose from. The restaurant is very impressive and good to show your friends in your photo album. The weather was bad when we stayed, but you are not trapped in your room and can relax in the large lounge (or bar). Most enjoyable.

It takes sometimes a long time to refill the breakfast. Pool and sauna could be held open a little longer.

The atmosphere is gorgeous and so is the breakfast. The stuff changed to the good. Very friendly and we love the rooms who haven’t been renovated yet.
