Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Being tall (2m) there wasn’t much headroom in the bathroom so I hit my head a couple of times with the step up into it!
Great location, excellent breakfast. Bedroom/bathroom was spotless.

The Spa area is exceptional for hotel! Three (!) big saunas, swimming pool and great professional massage! Other hotel might have one tiny 3 people saunas, here there are 3 big ones! Very good and rich breakfast! I will definitely come back! (specifically for the Spa area)

Pillows were a little odd, large flat square which needed folding to give some support.
Location was excellent. Buffet breakfast was delicious with great variety of options. Room was spacious and kept exceptionally clean.

Very clean and comfort hotel, very nice design, very good location, excellent breakfast, we have a problem with the hotel s parking but there is nearby another "parkhaus am see" more expensive (15 euro per day). Very good hotel. We ll come back

Parking was tricky because I was visiting family who were not staying at the hotel and parking was for hotel guests and the hotel is located on a pedestrian only street.
The location was great because it was easy to walk around everywhere.

We stayed with our pet, but there was nowhere for us to sit with him for the buffet breakfast (usually hotels which allow pets have a space specifically for this). Instead, we had to carry our buffet breakfast (and table settings, etc.) quite a long way down a hall. It was not a big deal, but it’s not up to the “usual” standard we experience at other hotels.
Great location, fantastic breakfast selection and very comfortable room. Modern wellness centre. Nice artworks decorating the hotel.

Very nice place to stay and rest in mountains. We had a problem with car, we got stuck, but thanks to Italian employee we managed to go out! Thanks a lot!!!

The building with our rooms is a short walk from the building where you check in. Also, breakfast is in the building where you check in. Our rooms were in a great building right in town, but a few minutes walk from where the car parking is. Front desk is closed between noon and 4:00 PM so we has to wait until 4:00 to check in.
Great rooms and friendly staff. Good breakfast.

Big square European pillows. Laid flat out is too flat. If doubled over head sinks in and hard to breath if you are a side sleeper like me.
Excellent breakfast. Location about half way between train station and ferry terminal, 10-15 min in both directions.

Swimming pool is pretty dark, and structure on the ceiling doesn´t create a comfortable feeling; two saunas were closed. Timeslots for breakfast (split in groups).
Location in the center with the view of the lake from some rooms, nearby the promenade and shops. Clean and comfy rooms. Good breakfast. Availability to book a nice masage.

Most was fine. The room was really small, we thought it's gonna be a bit bigger. The food was really good. For big minus we must add no internet in TV so we couldn't watch Netflix which should be normal in 21th century. Also we paid for dog , and they knew we are gonna arrive with dog but there was nothing prepared for dog, really disappointing. Comparing price to what you got for it it's a bit too expensive.
