Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Rooms were small, as usually they are in Europe. But with a family, we would have liked more space.
Arrangements for the baby cot were made in advance as per booking. We were alloted rooms adjacent to each other on request, and allowed a late checkout of 1 hour for one of the rooms. Appreciate that.

The bar closes early unfortunately, it was not a biggie but it would be great if it remains open till later.

Unfortunately the airco wasn't working so it was very hot in the room. Because the temperature outside was alsof rather high. The second night they gave us a fan wich was much better.
Nice room, perfect breakfast. A little bit to crowded in the morning.

It's good location around 2-3 minutes walking to tram station and 15 minutes walking to alt kunstmuseum, etc. Maybe a little old so facility in bathroom is not so good to use. But room is still clean.

From the very friendly front desk to my large, very comfortable room (I really liked the excellent light management) to the large variety of fresh products for breakfast, everything was perfect. Only parking in the a very old garage with tight parking spaces is a bit of a challenge. Everything else: excellent

I was very disappointed that the staff said on several occasions that no pharmacies were open on Sunday. This was just not true and I later discovered that several pharmacies are in fact open on Sundays. I hope you can train your staff to be able to help your guests with this important information in the future. When guests are in distress, you should help them get the help they need, especially when they don't speak German.

Nothing particular but I think you should put some amenities in the rooms like toothbrushes, toothpaste, and slippers.
The room was better than I thought. It was clean and spacious. The bathroom was also sufficient. There were no slippers in the room, but they quickly provided them when we asked, so I'd like to thank Sebastian for that. When I told them during check-in that it was my birthday, they gave me a small chocolate as a gift which was very thoughtful. The breakfast was the highlight of my stay. It was a lot better than I expected. The staff working there was very welcoming and hardworking. The hotel is not at the center, but you can easily walk from the train station. It took us around 15 minutes to reach the hotel on foot. But it is not convenient if you have huge luggage. We had cabin-size luggage so it was fine. Or you can take the tram. It is 3 stations away. There is a big Lidl and DM close to the hotel.

No need for passing minibar trolleys - it is disruptive.. However, complimentary water in room would have been appreciated. Buth these are minor points.
Spacious room & bathroom.. Everything thought of & rooms surprisingly quiet. Pleasure to be able to open windows. Comfortable bed & bedding. Very clean. Good breakfast. Responsive staff. Tram stop to Marienplatz a few minutes walk away. Powerful hairdryers from reception appreciated.

The mouse scratching.
Everything was OK.......except that on the first night I was woken by the scratching of a mouse. We were on the first floor (room 117) and there was an outside flat roof. I guess that the mouse had got into one of the cavities containing the central heating, or wiring. Could not get back to sleep as the scratching continued, unless I stood by the radiator when it stopped. Fortunately the reception staff (Sebastian W) moved us the next morning and then everything was fine.
