No air conditioning and room uncomfortably hot. Facing on to main road, v. noisy whe. Window open. Only one pillow per person and reading lights barely adequate. One small upright chair between two old people who have just driven 370 miles....

We arrived late from Gothenburg, Sweden and realised that we made a mistake with the reservation date. The front desk was amazingly helpful and found a solution for us to stay. We are very grateful and thankful, especially that it was late night and we were very tired. Thank you very much.

I feel the hotel sold itself on the entrance hall and grand foyer. This was a little deceiving as the view from our supposedly 'deluxe' room was another building just three metres away. Our main complaint was that there were no coffee or tea facilities either in the room or downstairs. We checked with staff who informed us there were no facilities available. In a bathroom that contained an unnecessary bidet, refreshment facilities ought to have been more of a priority. An alternative for us would have been to drive to the nearest cafe/pub but due to the very limited parking space we did not want to return and have to search elsewhere for parking.

The breakfast was excellent with a good choice of food. Although there were many other residents, there was plenty of room and with quiet piano music this made for a pleasant relaxed breakfast

The breakfast was excellent, the coffee and orange juice were out of this world. Mark and Sebastian were terrific employees that went out of their way to assist, and they spoke perfect English. My wife and I will absolutely return to this fabulous location. It’s also close to the city and several great restaurants.

I have stayed at Kaiserhof many times but unfortunately the hotel has been deteriorated over the last few years. Location is still excellent but the rooms and the standard are not up-to-date. Some rooms are very nice but some are unfortunately not. This in addition to lacking of basic things in the room (minibar, which used to be there before, only one pillow per person, not paper to write on existed) and still quite high in price per night (€150) makes Kaiserhof a no-go for us going forward, unfortunately.

The hotel is beautiful but seems a bit past its prime. The breakfast was a bit meager and in our bathroom there was a spider web in a corner with one live spider (that we evicted) and a few of its dead predecessors. The room was very hot, but the hotel had provided fans that helped somewhat.

The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was spacious. It was a 10-15 minute walk to the city center but the bus stop was just outside and the buses were only a few minutes apart so sometimes we took the bus.

You can hear the television and people in the next rooms. The breakfast is very basic. No viennoiseries! Bread and coffee are bland.

The hotel is close to the center of the city. The rooms are big with high ceilings. The room and the bathroom is clean.

Central location.

I was told I was rude at reception because I pointed out that there was no free parking available as the hotel claims on booking.com. We had to park in the street a good bit away from the hotel where parking is limited to 2 hours and it was a long way to carry luggage. Not good that the hotel gives false information.

The rooms should be refurbished. Looks and feel old and dusty. Would help if the receptionist would speak a few words of English.

Publicized having parking for car, once booked (80% not refundable) the hotel informed me there were no parking available (in fact only 8-10 parkings in front of the hotel). Staff not able to advise me where to park.

It’s noisy and expensive for what you get. Definitely not value for your money. We only staved there as Lubeck was fully booked.

It’s beautiful from the outside but lacks character inside. The rooms desperately need a renovation to do justice to this beautiful old house.
