Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

South KoreaA bit bad smell in the showerbooth. The check in process using a kiosk was not working well.
The location was good to access to the old city of Leipzig.

GermanySatellite/Cable channels could only be access if you purchase premium account with a hotel, even though they are advertised as being included in the price of the room. Hairdryer was broken. I was also charged when checking in for the room I already paid for months in advance. Hotel agreed to wave second payment after I approached them, but I am still waiting for it to be refunded
Free bottled water, tea and coffee. Nice fluffy towels and I also got free room upgrade from Booking. Though I'm not sure what's the difference between Business Plus Double Room and standard room as they both look the same on the pictures.

GermanyThe bed linen was hard and scratchy. The bed matress was too hard, so that my hips hurt in the morning.
The breakfast was quite ok, the room was poorly furnished, but ok.

NorwayWhen booking through third-party booking services, be sure to request a room that doesn't face the main street or is on another floor. In Leipzig, there is a surprising amount of noise from ambulances and police cars with sirens. Although the soundproofing against other traffic is good, sirens can still be heard.
I stayed at the hotel several times last year and think that the hotel delivers well in terms of price, and I have no problem returning. The number of stars stands up to expectations.

United States of AmericaThe bathroom was small and we were given only one bath towel, instead of two.
We chose this hotel because it is close to the main train station. The staff was very friendly and the breakfast was very good. Our room, #514, looked out at the main street but there was no problem with street noise because the windows were very soundproof.

GermanyThere was no bin bag in one of the bins, especially when staying with dogs it would be great to have lined bins as otherwise the food tins cause a mess in the bins. The bin the bath did have a bag but the lid had been thrown inside it. The pillows were too soft for me but then this is a personal preference.
The room was lovely, good size and super quiet. The staff were super friendly. The shower was amazing, we were surprised by how well thought out it was. The room was clean and felt modern, not cluttered or old like most others.

IrelandThe towels in the bathroom were not exactly luxuriant but they get the job done.
I had to catch an early train so proximity to the Hauptbahnhof was important. It was also just a short walk to the Altstadt and restaurants. Room was quiet, clean and cool (without being refrigerated).

Germany0.1 l glasses for juice and water is a real problem, especially at breakfast. 0.3 l should be standard. This hotel really stands out in a negative way in this respect.
Check-out already settled at check-in. Nice helpful person at check-in. Easy WiFi access. Sufficient space for clothing in the wardrobe. Filter coffee in the can at breakfast was good quality.

Czech RepublicThe breakfast was expensive for a mediocre buffet breakfast. (The nearest places for breakfast would be at the train station or over the road at a cafe on the edge of the Old Town) The bar was closed on Sunday evening.
The room was quiet; having said that, I paid extra for an interior (court yard) facing room ('business plus') because the hotel is located right on the ring road round the old city. Friends in rooms facing the road said they could hear the traffic. It's located only 5 minutes' walk from the main train station and about 10 minutes from the centre of the Old Town.

United KingdomVery busy ring road to cross to get to city centre with long waits at pedestrian crossings. Matters made worse by cyclists legally using footpaths and often cycling fast. None of this is the hotel's fault!
Short walk from main station and city centre where there is a good choice of restaurants. Receptionist recommended a superb suburban brewery restaurant just a few tram stops away. Good breakfast buffet and plenty of space. Hotel very quiet at night despite its location.
