This is really value for money. Not fancy but very comfortable, well situated and a very good restaurant, much better than you expect in a small hotel like this. Effective and friendly staff, everything worked fine. Second time we been here and it was just as good as we remembered it Bravo

Excellent location of the hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast buffet offers a variety of food, sweet and savory. Diverse and delicious evening meals served in a pleasant place.

The bathroom was a little bit smal but ok. The beds weren't wide enough., but for 2 or 3 nights ok

The staff is very nice and helpfull. Rooms are always clean. Breakfast Buffet is very nice, you can order for breakfast every style of eggs you want. Our room had a lot of space. Very close to the old town

Well the only thing is the interior is not charming, very functional and clean.

This is when German small towns and hotels are at their best, very well managed small hotel, all staff very helpful and nice in a very natural way. Restaurant great with a good selection and well cooked dishes, way above normal German standard. Very good breakfast with all that you need.

This time the bed was not so comfortable, too soft, the mattress needs to be renewed. Just a suggestion: Though there is a bottle of water - very nice- , a water kettle for making tea or coffee would be highly appreciated

I was at the hotel for the third time, just overnight stay on a longer drive. Alsfeld is close to the highway and is a very nice town. Hotel Klingelhöfer is walking distance (3-5 min) to the beautiful old town with nice shops and restaurants. Parking is easy infront of the door or a separate parking lot for guests. The hotel it is very good value for the price, excellent breakfast, nice rooms in histrocical and nicely renovated buidings. Though my room was towards the street, it was very quiet.

The rooms are outdated though overall clean. A bit of mold on the walls, beds medium comfy. You can hear the noises easily from outside and other rooms.

This is local hotel with local approach. Quiet, large rooms, very comfortable. Nice breakfast available since 6:30 even on weekends. Walking distance to shops and city center. Complementary water in the room.

we were absolutely surprised to stay in such lovely Hotel with star cuisine (it has not a star (yet) at a litle town we used to pas by.Reception ,service ,cleanliness ,friendlynes,the Star cuisine (as already mentioned) surprised us and we shall come back!

No aircon but the weather was exceptionally hot - 35+ degrees.

I was on the top/2nd floor of the ‘guesthouse’ - opposite the main hotel. A good sized room, if slightly dated but perfectly clean and functional. I was able to store my bike in their garage to the rear. Location is perfect - no distance at all to the town centre, and close to shopping facilities also, but on a quiet road.

No aircon..... It was a Hot day, But the hotel felt cool on arrival. But us English aren't used to 30° so it was a hot night.. . Restaurant was closed on the Sunday night we were there . So had to go into town to eat. But that wasn't a problem really... Everyone deserves a day off.

Friendly reception and it was partly possible to check in a bit earlier. The room was small but very clean with a complimentary water. The breakfast was not even spectacular but proper. The location is very quiet but in walking distance to the city centre.
