-Lamp in the bathroom was broken -No option to prepare tea in the room (but coffee machine) -I read great reviews about breakfast but ours wasn't that great (we came around 9:00 and majority of food was already gone)

The only negatives were there were no toiletries in the room, the shower towel was too small and the restaurant menu lacked variety so it was schnitzel, schnitzel and schnitzel.

Location was great for walks in the forest and by the Mosel. Outstanding breakfast supported by polite attentive staff.

The buffets for dinner and breakfast were wonderful, we really enjoyed the food. The beds were the comfiest of all the beds we slept in while in Germany. The location was perfect for doing the walk up to Berg Eltz in the morning.

Everything was good.

Very nice hotel ideally located for the Burg Eltz trail. Nice and comfortable room with nice and spacious bathroom. Very good breakfast and inexpensive restaurant for dinner!

Power went out for half the night, and although it was no fault of the hotel, there were no fans on the rooms to cool things off with the windows open.

Nice rural location; very efficient staff - despite being very busy on the Sunday night in the restaurant, as hotel guests, we were prioritised & our food arrived very quickly - breakfast also very good

Nothing to complain about.

A perfect place when you want to explore the Burg Eltz and the nearby area. Close to nature and walking. Everything you need at one and the same hotel. Good food and drinks in the restaurant. A silent cosy room with a large bathroom. And best of all - the breakfast with so much to eat and excellent details. Extra plus for shuttleservice from and to the trainstation in Moselkern. We just hade to phone and tell when we arrived with our train so did they send a car for us. Without extra costs.

The smell in the room was a bit stale. The room had everything we needed but is a bit outdated, could use an upgrade.

Large room with comfy beds. The owner of the hotel was very friendly. The hotel has two buildings, a main building with reception and restaurant and another building with only rooms. We stayed in the second building which was very quiet. There is a beautiful 40 minute walking trail to Burg Eltz which starts right next to the hotel.

The bed linen was a little dirty.

After complaining about little dirt on the bed linen, the staff was very accommodating and offered several compensation gifts.

Could be cleaner. Our room was for 2 adults and child. the sofa bed was ok but bed sheet too basic, quickly setup. We were there in early November (low season) which is not an excuse to lower the service.
