The ONLY thing for us is that we have an issue with carpeting.

The helpful staff, the breakfast was simple but very nice, perfect little village next to Rhein with easy access by train and car. We were here during off-season but a few things were still open.

During our stay the bar and restaurant were closed on the Tuesday and Thursday from breakfast to 4pm. Not sure if this is a permanent thing but seems that way. Not a deal-breaker as you can plan around it but sitting outside with a beer after our morning walk is a pleasant pastime. Just have to stay out longer.

Location would be difficult to beat. Quiet village but train, walk, cable car or ferry to busier places.5 or 10 minutes away on the train.. New riverside pathway for pedestrians or cyclists means you can walk along the Rhine either way from the hotel. If you want to explore further then the train to Koblenz or other towns is a simple option. The hotel itself is small and tidy. Not the most modern and contemporary but I find it very comfortable with an above average offering at breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Excellent location. Room had view of Rhein. Staff was very helpful. Breakfast was everything you need to start your day. Had dinner one night. Good, tasty selections. Reasonably priced.

This is a family run hotel it is exceptionally clean. The staff is very helpful and even makes suggestions about things to see. You can book boat day trips on the Rhine right from the hotel. The breakfast was wonderful great selection of bread, rolls, cheese, cold cuts, eggs and fresh fruits. Our room was large modern and comfortable it also had air conditioning. I highly recommend this hotel.

Noisy as it is on a main road and a busy railway line runs behind the hotel. The hotel seem understaffed and needed a little maintenance. (Light bulbs not working as an example).

The pillow wasn't comfortable. No kettle in the room to make tea and coffee.

The hotel was very conveniently situated close to the train station. The room (quiet) and bath room were spacious. We had a window as well as a door to a balcony in our room. The fan came in very handy as it was quite hot. The breakfast was delicious. Manager and staff very friendly and welcoming. We could buy tickets for the boat trip at the hotel- boarding the boat conveniently opposite the hotel.

Very comfortable room and very well cleaned. First class breakfast, with really a nice choise of food. The geographic position, four km far from Rudesheim downtown, is optimal for every tour on or along Rhone river.

Location by river. Room was nice but we had paid for an upgrade.

Our room was at the back of the hotel on the first floor and was rather noisy unless we closed the window but it was too warm to do that e,g, guests still using the dining area below, people in the rear courtyard, and nearby trains. Beds only come with 1 very soft pillow each, no extra pillows in the room. The mattress was a bit hard for our liking but this is a personal choice.

Located facing the river with good views from plenty of outdoor seating on the pavement. Also quick to walk to other areas of the village. Higher priced rooms have river views. Food and drinks service is available most of the day, the menu has some interesting choices, service was quick and we both enjoyed our meal. The decor in our room and communal areas is pleasing, modern, well maintained and clean.

I thought I’d booked an air- conditioned room but there was only an old fan on a table. it’s seems only the top floor had aircon, luckily the weather was quite mild. Check the website carefully if this is an issue for you.

Great location on the river in a smaller town which was quieter than Rüdesheim. Lovely view to a castle from our room which had a small balcony. Bed was very comfortable and could be lifted at the head or feet, great for reading. Room was clean, good breakfast and we also had dinner there. Nice choice of German food, the steak was very good and cooked as I requested which was medium. Family run, you can book river cruises from their reception and the service is friendly. I would stay here again.

This was a gem of a hotel. The meal we had was fantastic and our welcome superb. We have a motorbility car and we’re able to literally park on the doorstep. The view was spectacular and worth the extra.

Downgraded on review due to sub standard room, which did not meet other review comments, no AC all a bit run down in need of modernisation, cost equal to other accomadtions which were more comfortable and in better condition

Not walking distance to shopping centre etc in town but that was fine for us as we had a car

Great location away from touristy area but still only short walk to Rhein cruise boarding point (round trip castle day cruise to St Goar perfect). Thoroughly enjoyed the authentic German cuisine and feel at the restaurant and delicious breakfast. Also some other restaurants nearby. Room really comfortable and clean. Had such an enjoyable stay.

Air conditioning would have been nice. It was a little too hot and sticky the day we arrived. Busy railway behind hotel. Nice for me but my wife less amused

The air conditioning in our room didn't operate all the time - as if it was on a timer for evenings only. The hotel did not offer lunch and there were not many options nearby.

The bed was very comfortable and the room had a balcony where we could watch the traffic on the Rhine. The breakfast was large and had lots of options. Parking was great. The AC cooled off the room at night nicely.

Great location. We choose our room with a/c it was very comfortable and look recently renovated. The staff wasb really friendly and gave us the perfect advice for the two days we were there. We would recommend this hotel without a doubt. We will definitely go back again.
