Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Sound isolation is bad as I had to wake up at 8 am every day because church bell rang🫠 also it is very loud and you can hear how cars are driving outside

The bathroom is outdated and the drain in the shower wasn’t working properly. The water was taking way too long to go down causing a small flood.

Once I've reached reception desk by phone and asked for an iron with ironing desk. It was late and person on reception promised to send it first thing in the morning, Unfortunately the iron did not come neither in the morning, nor later. Also on this date there were no cleaning, however I think I did not choose to skip it on that particular date. These are mainly tiny inconviniences that did not effect positive impression. Please note that there is a church neirby, so there is a chance that bells ringing could wake you up, if your windows face the relevant site
The experience was really great from check-in to check-out. The room had personalized welcoming card, some fruits, still water and soft drink. Huge bed with pillows menu. The breakfast was excelent in quality and varialibility. However a bit overcrowded - it was hard sometimes to find a spot, maybe due to Berlinale days. The staff was predominantly helpful, e.g. provided with a teapot

Nothing really. It was all pretty perfect.
Lovely hot and powerful shower and the beds were very comfy. Breakfast was great, lots of choice and plenty of food to go around.

Very welcoming staff upon arrival. Room pristine clean with lovely complimentary tiramisu and sparkling wine and fruit on our arrival. Friendly bar staff and good location. Would stay again.

It would have been nice to have some drawers for clothes. Otherwise there is nothing that wasn't good.
The room was big and well appointed with two armchairs. We had upgraded to a larger room for a small sum. The room was extremely quiet! Comfortable beds and clean room and bathroom. Good hairdryer. Iron and ironing board in the wardrobe.

Location was slightly further than I expected but only by a short distance. It was still very central and easy to find.
Hotel was walking distance from the train, shopping center, restaurants and bars. It looks like a standard german building from the outside but lovley and modern when you enter. The decor was quirky and comfortable. Great value for money. Attention to detail from staff and very helpful.

WiFi was very slow in our room.
Very good location. You can get bus or tram in front of the hotel to go to everywhere. Also, very good walking distance to Alexanderplatz.

- No kettle in the room, only a coffee machine - Spa entrance and water dispenser - if you insert the token you have to find out how to hold the door and manage to pour it for yourself

The area under my window had uncollected garbage and building materials, which is detrimental to the view outside and overall experience. Also, I was lectured at the breakfast buffet about taking some bread for lunch, with all staff watching me, this was an unpleasant experience.
Extensive breakfast buffet and quite central location. I liked the fitness area with a nice view from the top floor. Also, good shower.
