the corridor and room smelt dusty musty so not sure if its vaccumed on a daily basis. Had to keep the window open for a couple of hours for fresh air and then got used to it I guess.

Customer Service from the gent at the reception was the best. Very lovely person and very helpful at all times with a smile. The Owners should be proud of him.

Very clean establishment. Plenty of free parking. Set off Aktienstrasse so there is very little traffic noise yet it is close to the Autobahn. We had a bedroom apartment with a microwave, fridge, kettle etc. The room was very large, linen was spotless and pillows and mattresses were firm but comfortable. The shower had good pressure and clean towels and shower gel were provided. The reception staff was very helpful and Smiley. We arrived before the check in time but the young man at the reception was gracious enough to allow us to check in before time. I understand that the check in process with the lock box etc is also quite straight forward. There is a really well equipped kitchen on the ground floor with an adjacent dining table and chairs to sit and enjoy whatever you have cooked. There is a big fridge /freezer available to store your stuff if you so wish. There are washers/dryers available in the next room at your disposal. We would certainly stay here again if we are in this area.

Addressing Insults from the Owner: We received an insult from the owner, likely referring to us as 'Pigs,' even though we checked out as clean as when we arrived. Our busy schedule during the IPM Essen prevented us from tidying up every day during our stay. Additionally, we placed paper and plastics in the bin in the room, not outside in the hallway. I believe her request is not the common norm. If they expect a higher standard, it should be clearly stated as a rule on Booking.com. Moreover, they should inform guests upon check-in if this is their policy. However, being insulted in such a manner, likened to a pig, is completely unacceptable.

The name 'apartment hotel' is deceiving as the rooms only have a microwave and kettle. The proper kitchen facilities are in a well equipped shared kitchen on the ground floor. We booked one room for myself, my partner, our newborn baby and our 3 year old. However we were told on the day that we would need to book two rooms for this amount of people. The rooms are very big though and would easily have accommodated the four of us, even just with a large double bed. Furthermore the hotel was incredibly hot. We arrived on a hot day but we were sweating just sitting inside. I opened the windows in the room but was kept up until 1am with people smoking cannabis below my window. There are signs everywhere saying to smoke outside at the entrance, which just means that people gather there and make lots of noise late at night. Finally, I was woken in the morning by a cleaner knocking on the door and trying to get in. She obviously hadn't been told that there was someone staying there as we had to book the extra room last minute. Overall it wasn't a good experience and we won't stay there again.

They told me it was mandatory to arrive before 20.00. I arrived at 18.20 but there were nobody at the reception. Nobody replied the telephone written in the entrance door. I was lucky because I met one person from staff who was leaving the building at 18.20 and he gave the key and the instructions. I phoned three times to two different telephone numbers and nobody neither replied nor called me back.

Hotel cancelled my fully paid reservation 2 weeks in advance, with message "we're overcooked" we drove 11 hours and were left in pouring rain outside, with crying little baby. Calls and messages were ignored. Avoid all costs, it might happen with you!
