Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomA decent budget hotel next to the cathedral, city centre and minutes away from the river, a pleasant enough place to stay, can't comment on the breakfast as I didn't have any. Also easily walkable from the main station.

United States of AmericaAs the Hotel is close to the church, it is very noisy. There is no air-condition at the Hotel, and if it get's hot outside, you have either noise from the church or bad air in the room. Despite this the Hotel delivers value for money.
Located close to the Ulmer Muenster in the center of the city, unfortunately with no parking facilities at the Hotel. The rooms are clean, however getting a bit aged. For a 1-2 night stay it is OK. Hotel staff is friendly and helpful.

SloveniaLook and equipment aren't from 2020 but it does the job, some maintenance to do and a bit more detailed cleaning.
Very friendly personell at reception, check in/ check out without problems, rooms are nice, we even got baby crib without asking for it for our 2 year old. Location is fantastic, you can see most of town's sights in about 2 hours on foot. If you come with car I recomend parking in Parkhaus am Rathaus - underground garage just across the street from hotel and it isn't expensive. We had car there overnight from 3pm to 10am and payed 13€.

United KingdomThe bedroom was a little bare.
Perfect central location with a welcome that is normally only found in small family run hotels.. The breakfast was fresh, wholesome and tasty with excellent and attentive service without being intrusive. I was very impressed, and being situated right next to the iconic church, could not have been in a better position.

MaltaNo lounge with comfortable seating.,no bar. For a hotel, the latest check in time on Sunday is 3:00pm. A ridiculously early time for check in to stop. was flying from Larnaca Cyprus to Munich when the aircraft was diverted for a medical emergency to Athens. This cause a 3+ hour delay to arrival at MUC airport. I had to travel bt train to ULM which gave me the earliest ETA by Rail from Munich Airport to ULM Main Train Station of 01:15am. On arrival at Munich I called my German colleague in Ulm to advise the hotel of my late arrival at the Hotel Ulmer Spatz. He got a message to say the hotel check in closed at 3:00pm I had asked for a check in time of 21:00 hrs which they confirmed as OK. In my position I was not aware of any arrangements for me to collect a key from a key box at the hotel entrance. My german colleague didn't know of any key collection possibility so he booked me a room in a "Norma" hotel which has staff on duty 24/7. As a result of this hotel's policy with closing the check in at 3:00pm I had to pay for the first night in ULM at another hotel a nd forefited the room charge for the first night. Other negative comments. No one on reception to answer essential internet questions - server name and password. Could not access internet untilbreakfast on day 2 morning. No help with arranging a hotel for departure as the hotel opens at 06:30am I had to check out at 05:30am.Bedrooms provide the bare essentials and that is all. Ensuite bathroom tiny. Could barely turn around in the shower. A warning to other unsuspecting tourists/business men - do not be fooled in to getting an old style Traditional hotel because of location and pictures of local amenities. These old picturesque German hotels will inevitably be disappointing.
The location of the hotel was very good. Right in the Munsterplatz. Convenient for most things shops, supermarkets, bars restaurants, places of interest etc
