Excellent hotel in a convenient location. The room was very comfortable, spacious, and well appointed. Excellent breakfast and dinner (optional) was superb. Particular mention should be made about the staff who were friendly and in particular the lady who served at the bar (Canadian/German ) who was very entertaining and made an evening very enjoyable. All prices in the hotel are reasonable and in short one of the best value hotels I have stayed in recently.

Hotel Wieting has a long history in Oldenburg as advertised by the lovely antiques scattered throughout the floors in a tasteful way. At the same time it’s up to date with modern facilities and rooms that even boast individually adjustable beds. The cozy breakfast room, delicious breakfast and excellent service were the perfect start to my day.

Lovely family run Hotel with staff committed very successfully to their work. Polite, helpful, receptionist with flawless English provided a map and we had a pleasant evening meal in the dining room after a stroll around the town. They sent very helpful and essential arrival instructions which Sat Navs don't all recognise. Great parking behind a barrier and beneath the hotel. Not bookable but not full. Lovely breakfast, amazing choice. Hotel is within 100 metres of three Art Galleries and they allowed us to check out but keep the car park space while we visited them. (One modest entrance fee covers them all. Bakery next door for sandwiches.)

Parking was very tight and limited. You have to be a contortionist to get out of the car after you park and pray the other car next to you doesn't dent your car. You need to park by early evening if you want a spot.

The beds (bunks) were very hard and they charged 2,60 Euro for 1/4 liter of natural water. They charge 6 Euro per day for parking. We were there for 2 nights and had dinner there on the first evening, tuesday. When we came down for dinner the next evening, wednesday, the restaurant was closed due to a holiday THE FOLLOWING day (thursday, Ascension day), but nobody had told us about the closure. We had to go to the pizzaria across the street. There had been plenty of opportunity to tell us of the closed restaurant. We knew that the restaurant was closed on Sunday evenings, but was not prepared for a closed restaurant on a wednesday evening with a holiday the following day. The front desk young girl, when asked about another place to eat, directed us to a restaurant in the Rathauskeller 1 mile away, but never told us about the opportunity just across the street that we spotted. She was not forthcoming.

Good food and wine, spacious and quiet room on 4. floor away from the street. Nice and clean. Lift from parking to the top floor(4).

Everything was perfect!

This hotel exceeded our expectations in every way. We booked a room and said we would be there in an hour. When we got there, we were greeted by name and our room was ready for us! After losing my iPhone charger, they loaned me one for the night! The room was immaculate…and very user friendly…with even a free bottle of sparkling water! The breakfast was very good, and the check out time was 11:30. The shower was big, and the room accoutrements were fresh and lively. There were beautiful fresh flowers in the hallway on the way to our room! The woman at the front desk (Gesa))was not only efficient, she was very welcoming and helpful ! Thank for for a wonderful and memorable stay! One of our best European hotel experiences ever!

The only thing that could have been better was that the adjustable bed was only partly working, the head end could not be adjusted on one side of the bed.

Almost everything. Location was great. Room was great. There were even adjustable beds, which was a big bonus. And everything was very clean. The choice and quality of food for breakfast was exceptional. All the staff were very helpful.

The hotel staff were very welcoming and accommodating as we arrived very late in the evening. The hotel was immaculately clean and very comfortable with remote lighting and electric bed to lift head and feet if required. The breakfast was a lovely continental served at your table with extra self service hot and cold food.
