Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

The soundproofing of the room was bad. I could hear the other people quit clearly.
The room was spacious, clean, confortable and bright! The bathroom is very close to the rooms so it's easy and fast to go. The man who welcomed me was very friendly and kind !

Stairs to the rooms are a bit steep. For most certainly not an issue but if you have some constraints ask first.
Quite convenient location for Odense. It is within short walking distance from the train station and the neigborhood is really quiet. A very friendly reception and also a very pragmatic approach to everything. Thanks !

The shared facilities were very audible at evening/morning, but wasn't too much of an issue

There was a faint odour in the toilet but not too unbearable.
The shared kitchen is very good. The fridge has nice little boxes for each room to put our groceries. Well stocked on utensils and thoughtful water filter jug. Was able to prepare sandwiches for the day out. Good location a short walk downtown and the rail station very close to supermarkets with good options of organic produce.

The room was very nice, but it could be even better if the blinds on the windows were black instead of white to prevent light coming in very early in the morning.
The place was very clean and the common kitchen and bathrooms were good. The system to check-in was very smart and easy.

People in the rooms next to us were very loud, and there is one bathroom for three rooms which might be tricky if someone does not have a lot of time in the morning. Besides that, there was nothing to complain about.
Great location, 10-15 minutes walk to the city centre. Nice and clean room/bathroom/kitchen.

There was a bit of a bad smell in the hallway on the top floor. Nothing that seeped into the room, but a bit unpleasant. But it wasn't anything major that took away from the otherwise great experience we had there.
The staff was very welcoming and super helpful when Booking.com's services had failed to forward a message the owner had sent us and they gave us a discount code for a local bakery which we tried and really liked.

Nice B&B in a quiet yet central part of town Well equipped kitchen, good logistics for the shared fridge (you get your own box per room) To get around Odense you can hire a bike at the location

Hard to say which floor is which number according to the instructions. We were scared to enter someones room, but figured it out. Would be nice to number the floors.
Free parking on the street. Clean and tidy room/shared bathroom. 10 mins walk to the city centre. Easy check-in and out. Pretty neighborhood.

No air conditioning in the room so it was quite hot at night.
A very nice and cozy place, only a 10-minute walk from the center of Odense. Our room was nicely decorated. There's a shared bathroom and kitchen for guests to use and tables in the front yard where we could sit and eat. The owner was very friendly. Free streetside parking right in front of the building.

The owner made me feel like I bothered him and he was not able to help me with very basic questions related to the tourist activities.
Very comfortable, kitchen well equipped and organized. Super clean. 2 minutes from Netto supermarket. Nearby the bus station to Kerteminde beach.

Noisy corridoor. Could a sign "do not slam" help? If someone wants to sleep, this is not the best place to guarantee that.

This Bed & Breakfast is well situated 15 minutes walk from the center of Odense. The host is very friendly and communications was good, even though we did not meet face-2-face. The check-in went smoothly and the room was cosy and the beds were comfortable. The shared bathroom was ok, nice and clean
