Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

FranceOnly one tiny thing: in the bathroom the water did not flow away fast enough. Maybe not so easy to fix such things in such an old place.
What a unique experience to spend a night in such a well preserved castle! The owners clearly invest in maintaining the beauty of the place. The room was comfortable and the kids welcome. Also the food is excellent - our best dinner and breakfast in Denmark. The wine pairing was well thought through. For the kids they had a special menu - also top notch!

United States of AmericaMinor things: Rooms do not have a television or mini fridge. Just a nicety really.
The property felt relaxing and open. The castle grounds were easy to get around. The staff is top of the line and very friendly, overall experience in Denmark is that the people are very pleasant and helpful for tourists visiting. The restaurant is to die for. Cool organized rock collection to look into.

Great historic hotel with lovely grounds and even a moat. We had a wonderful 3 course dinner at the castle. Had a small museum on the grounds of pieces excavated around the castle. Very nice stay!

DenmarkWe had an amazing extended weekend at this beautiful castle. Service was excellent and the staff friendly and able to answer all our questions regarding the castle and the surroundings. Food at the resturant was really good.. again in a very nice setting. The "fairytale-walk" around the castle is highly recommendable. We will be back. A swim at Lundeborg Beach next to Lundeborg Harbour was a great way to start the day.

Staying in a castle with authentic art, artifacts, books, and furniture, the moat with swans. It was the best B&B stay ever. The breakfast was really good.

ItalyNothing.
This place is beautiful. The owners have maintained the perfect understated, natural charm of this wonderful castle. We felt like we were local aristocratic friends coming to stay for a delicious supper and a perfect breakfast! And despite the elegance of the place, it didn't feel like a problem that we had two unruly kids with us bouncing around everywhere. The restaurant staff were particularly nice, helpful and welcoming. Our family room was amazing, two adjoining rooms and a big bathroom. And we obviously loved the moat. Overall, absolutely worth the splash out!

ItalyWe liked it all! Since Booking is making me write more (min words requirement) if I could change 1 thing it would be the room keys. Old, heavy, inconvenient, and not hygenic.
The location was so peaceful, and the castle like a fairytale. Best of all was the dinner at the castle which exceeded any expectation we could have had. The rooms had an antique charm yet wifi worked, and we had all the comforts we needed. We loved being able to enjoy the main castle rooms and even billiard table -- felt at home in another century!

ItalyNice experience, with horse ring on the opposite side. All around a little lake with lovely swan and short forest walk. Inside the castle there was a surprice with old picture of 19th century and cousy sofa. The breakfast was expensive in the comment of some tourist coming from germany 25€ for person for a day , but sincerly for us it was in the standard of DK.

GermanyThe bed/mattress could be more comfortable. Can be a bit noisy at times if other guests are noisy—which I suppose is unavoidable in a centuries-old building.
