Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomMy floor wasn't very clean, there was dust and hair in the middle of the hallway. There were a lot of ants on the balcony so I couldn't put my feet down when sat out there. I also found the bubbles in the jacuzzi weren't working. Had I been staying for longer I would have raised these things. Next time I will say straight away because I think the staff would have been very accommodating.
I loved my view, it was truly amazing and made the room special for me. The staff were so friendly and helpful and the breakfast was delicious.

United States of AmericaThe food and food service we mediocre at best. So many stairs with a broken elevator. We managed okay but we watched as a young- middle aged woman with double amputations maneuvered around the property and used the pool to swim laps and another middle aged gentleman with a single amputee struggled to get around, Fort Young doesn’t accommodate those with physical challenges well.
Dive shop and Jetty at property. Lean comfortable room, available food options.

United KingdomMy room was in the new part of the hotel and didn't have a balcony. The food offering at lunch and dinner time needs improvement. Limited choice with no authentic Caribbean food on offer.
The location is excellent, it is right on the water front on the main street of the capital Roseau. The room was modern, well equipped, comfortable and clean. The staff were polite but a little overworked, possibly more staff required.

ItalyThe jacuzzi was not working. The breakfast was too expensive for the quality provided, lacking in terms of fruit, local jams, fresh juice, and cappuccino is not included in the price.
The view on the sea is beautiful, as well as the architecture of the hotel and the abundance of living areas with sofas and couches. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable.

United KingdomThe price of the room is perhaps slightly higher than I'd expect, but I booked at very late notice, and the room was very good. Nicer than most 4* hotels in the UK and France.
The staff were very helpful and polite, especially the concierge and restaurant staff. The lunch buffet was very good and reasonably priced.

United States of AmericaMany small things like not having 110 Outlet and they didn’t have enough transformers to give to all the customers, water leak in the bathroom for some reason wasn’t fixed when cleaning lady was aware , bed not very comfortable, and coffee maker is useless etc… also should offer some complimentary activities like whale watching. One of the 2 elevators was broken during my entire week stay.
Great location for solo travelers Can walk to most restaurants/ bars etc.. Facility is nice and clean. And the staff are awesome.

United States of AmericaThe restaurants have gone downhill over the three years I have been coming. If your plans include fine dining, this is not a suitable place to stay.
Perfect set up for SCUBA and other water sports. Literally two minutes from my room to the dock. Large clean rooms. I have used this hotel three years running for SCUBA and Sperm whale encounters. The hotel has been significantly upgraded over the last year.

United KingdomAt times some dishes at breakfast ran out and were not quickly refilled. We had a leak in our bathroom leaving a large puddle of water under the sink. It took three days to get this resolved. These were not deal breakers, just small adjustments that would improve customer experience.

CanadaExpensive…should include breakfast for the price.
We ended up booking a room here after a ferry mix-up meant we had an extra day in Dominica. We had already returned our rental car so we chose a hotel within walking distance from the port (500m). Beautiful room and pool. Friendly staff.
