Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaThe beds weren't very comfortable. The fixtures in the bathrooms could be updated. The doors all stuck a bit so it was loud opening and closing
Everything was as expected. It was a nice budget property, a good bang for your buck. The partnership with the nearby restaurant St. Tropez was nice, although the restaurant seemed a bit overpriced. The 10% discount was nice.

Dominican Republicthe room was extremely dark and had a Humid smell throughout our stay. During the night there was no water to flush the toilet or use the sink. The water pressure in the shower was very low. I recommend separating shower towels from beach towels. Only beach towels were available in the bedroom.
Amazing view!! Super diligent and friendly staff.

United States of AmericaThe bathroom could be more upgraded. You have to be careful turning it on makesure you don't burn since the hot water could come down. You have to babysit it before you go in there lol The bed could be much better, better mattress and supportive. Kitchen utensils and stove need to be more upgraded. I had a coffee greca without any handle.
This was a 4 day trip getaway as a couple. This residence is located around other residencials at Boca Chica. The security is top-notch. Felt very secured walking around in the night. There's a 24-hour security onsite. If you order takeout, you have to go downstairs and pick it up outside the residential. We had to walk about 15-20 minutes to get to a nice Colmado and get some fritura food to eat. Just be advised that if you don't have a car it be kind of complicated to move around. The residential it's self has a nice pool located on the 2nd floor. The water is nice and warm A+. The apartment was very clean. I just felt like the bed could have been better, more comfortable, and supportive. If you needed room service, you had to leave the key by reception. Let them know you wanted the garbage picked up and clean towels.etc etc. The AC worked great A+. It's a very nice and quiet area so if you want to relax this is the place. Party and loud music, then this would not be your location to stay. Hope my review helps. Also the receptionist who works in the morning and night shift. Very nice girls. Balcony was nice. I expected a little better view and better seats, but it's ok.

CanadaWould have been nice to have a couple of small bottles of water and a welcome coffee kit to make coffee on your first morning. Guests were not respecting the rules about not going in with wet clothing into the elevator. A suggestion - May need to reinforce the rule with some kind of a penalty deposit (i.e. all guests deposit a certain amount like $25.00 and those who violate the rules as verified by security cameras, will have their deposit forfeited, while others will have it reimbursed).
Excellent loft design. Well decorated. Super friendly staff at the reception. Full security, delivery not allowed to go up to rooms but will be brought in by the reception personnel. Very functional wifi, nice TV with lots of channels. Exercise room with gym equipment in pool area. Very comfortable bed. Free parking. Within walking distance to everywhere you want to be. But you need to act safely, especially going out at night, when it is advisable to take a taxi.

AustraliaThe property was good, no complaints but for me Boca Chica misses the mark. Not really a beach more a bay and the private beach access, though very appreciated was really access to the bay via a restaurant, not the sand and sun lounges you would normally expect at a beach. Dominican Republic has some truely stunning beach towns, but i would include this town on that list.
Great apartments with everything you need and a view across the ocean. Very friendly and accommodating staff and reception. A well run establishment with comfortable and homely apartments.

United KingdomI stayed three years ago and there seems to have been little maintenance since then. Showers and taps need a scrub. Little hot water in shower.
Well-designed and pleasant self-contained development with a lovely pool. Quiet. Far enough away to ignore the squalor of central Boca Chica. Friendly staff. Clean

BelgiumWe were mistakenly checked in in a room which was not ours. As we were celebrating in a restaurant nearby the receptionist came to get us as we were just starting to unwind and relax for my last day holiday. This was a bit awkward. Yet, they patiented until we had finished our meal to relocate us in our room and the welcome was perfect.
Room very bright and a studio with a balcony was really enjoyable with view on the sea. Perfect to spend 1 or 2 days away from the crowded Boca Chica beach but not too far either and perfect before flying out

FranceWe are not familiar with the area and with very limited Spanish we found it a little difficult to find out information on where to go. It would be a good idea to have a "Where to go", "What to do in the area" information pack in the room.
The location was good, although not with direct beach access, although you do have access to the sea through their restaurant St Tropez which is just across the road. Staff was friendly and the pool was great.

United KingdomFacilities really need a big facelift. It is like the hotel is making a effort to be luxurious and failing at it. The windows are not locking at all, the main door frame is about to fall of the wall, the bathroom taps are in a very poor state, as I said, it has all the ingredients for a luxury place but it is halfway. There are light switches on the terrace/balcony but no light.... Being an apartment with Kitchen, there is hardly any kitchen tools to prepare anything. We asked for a chopping board because the one we had was horrendously dirty but never got one. A little trip to IKEA would solve many of the issues. The pool area is a waste of Space. Nice pool but the floor needs some repair and it is a shame with such a nice area, there is no bar to chill out with a drink. It has a gym but it is a bit dirty to be honest and abandoned. It is also a shame that the only place you can go to eat belonging or in partnership with the hotel is the St. Tropez bar by the sea. Overpriced even with the 10% discount if you stay in the hotel. Keep in mind that this bar and the others near by are restaurants frequented by local rich people so, prices are according to their status. This hotel has a space for a bar, restaurant and breakfast place I don't know why they need the St. Tropez to attract clients, but it seems like the hotel management does not care about this and many other nice details that the hotel is lacking. Unfortunately after 3 weeks in total in the Dominican Republic I have to say this is more or less what you find pretty much everywhere that is, trying but not with such a big effort to achieve it. I did sent my review to the management but I doubt they will do anything about it.
This rate is a mixed feelings rate. We went with a family of 5. In terms of views and quiet it is an amazing place to stay, to be honest after a few days in boca chica not many places would better than this, not far from the center and at nigth very quiet. You wake up looking at the Caribean Sea so, what else you want??? The two bedroom apartment with seaview is super big and with so much light. Well done in this area to the hotel team. The staff is so nice and pleasant and always looking to help you. We had our room waitress "Orquidea" she was so good and professional and kept our room clean in a regular basis. Good Wifi.
