Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

EstoniaWe liked the location, it's a very quiet, clean and green area, and there are a few shops and cafes nearby. The villa has a lovely garden and a sitting/BBQ area.

GermanyThe property was quite far from the center but you can easily take a bus. The walls in the building are very thin so you can always hear what’s going on.
The owners were really nice and caring. The property was in a quiet street. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom nice and big.

United KingdomKitchenette, though very useful, had very little surface area to do food prep. Also, the bathroom was a little smelly.
Very quiet area. Slept well. Easy to get to town by public transport or walking if you have more time.

EstoniaI had a chance to stay in small studio apartment, which was just perfect - separate entrance, privacy, large bathroom and that giant bed.... best sleep I had for a very long time. Very nice, kind and helpful hostess. I most certainly recommend this place.

GermanyNothing really, we liked it there.
The landlady is very welcoming and tried to speak a little German with us. The house is mainly a wooden house, and so is the interior. Our accommodations was very spacy, a lower floor with a huge double bed, a round table and chairs, a small bathroom with toilet and shower, and an upper floor with a big sofa, a table, more chairs, a fire place and a small kitchen corner. We read about guests who complained about the noise the wooden floors create when you enter the kitchen, but we couldn't care less. At night this accommodation was very quiet. We parked our car right in front of the house and also locked our bikes there. We stayed for four nights and never touched the car as we used our bikes to discover the City of Tallinn. We chose to make breakfast on our own. We loved being so close to the city centre, it was a ten minute bike ride.

FinlandThe furniture could be arranged in a better layout.
Absolutely beautiful old wooden house to live in and experience! Would totally recommend this! Loved the building and the area. Peaceful and quiet place, perfect for walks. There is a mall very close by with several good shopping options. The cost of the room was really worth the price. Excellent garden, lovely place to sit in the garden. Convenient parking. This is the second time we are staying here and loved it! The hosts are a very lovely and kind couple. A hidden gem. Real old wooden house experience.

United States of AmericaThe hostess is very hard to communicate with in English or Russian. My room was entered without permission whenever I wasn't there – obvious by towels and clothing having been moved around. I stayed here a second time and the hostess actually entered the room twice while I was sleeping to water plants. The next morning their daughter came banging down the door at 9am; screaming at me to pay. I was not willing to pre-pay 900€ for a month before discussing these issues with her husband who was not available at the time. As other reviews have mentioned, the amenities are outdated: uncomfortably squeaky floors, old towels, gross bathrooms, inadequate bedding. This is basically a low-end hostel priced at 50€ per night. There are very nice modern hotels for the same price in the downtown/port area.
Good location for my meetings in a nearby office complex
