1. we went to the hotel in the middle of April, when the temperatures were reaching 28°. The night was too hot and we couldn't get a good nights sleep. After complaining at reception, they provided us with a floor fab. Unfortunately, this didn't solve the problem and it was still hot at night . They told us that it was impossible to switch on the A/C as it was April and they switch on the A/C until May. There were other guests complaining about the heat overnight as well. 2. Even though it is called hotel spa, the spa is not included with the price of the accommodation. It costs €30 per person for 90 minutes to use the spa (hydrotherapy, sauna, and Turco). It becomes very pricey to use the spa on a daily basis so we were only able to use it once in our three days stay. 3. The outdoor pool looks very pleasant, and even though they told us at the reception that it was open, it doesn't get cleaned until May, so it was dirty and we couldn't use it. With temperatures going up to 28 - 29° in April, they should reassess the situation of opening the outdoor pool earlier in the year and making it available for their guests.

All the staff at the hotel were very pleasant and accommodating. Atmosphere is calm and tranquil. There are nice outdoors areas with a river going nearby which makes it for a pleasant walk. They provided us with robes and sleepers, which were very comfortable to be able to use the spa. The staff in the cafeteria (special thanks to Omar) was very friendly and extremely helpful. He facilitated a table for us, so we could have the cake and the wine we had brought to celebrate a birthday. The breakfast buffet was delicious, with a good variety of hams, cheese, fruits, and eggs and hot chocolate on order.

There wasn’t anything I didn’t like.

It was close to the city of Santiago de Compostela, we walked it three times in the rain. The actual hotel is located in a really nice area with a river running by the property.

The sauna needs renovation.

Exceptionally elegant and charming home like high class hotel surrownded by eucaliptus and pine woods by the river. Great very rich breakfast . Very creative approach to everything.

The weather wasn't great

Really nice spa with great facilities in an old former factory building with lots of character. Very big room with complementary hot/cold drinks. Staff was always polite and helpful. Restaurant food was excellent and breakfast was very good with cooked options included.

A 10min drive from the old town but once you figure out the taxi system in Santiago it works out fine.

Everything! The rooms super comfortable, thinking of every detail, like changing even the cushion covers between clients (as opposed to only bed linens), having very soft lights in the bathrooms for the night, the personnel were always efficient and friendly… really, all was perfect!

Even though it's located only 10-15min by car from the city, it can be very tricky to find a taxi for the journey to and from the hotel. I feel like for the price they could offer transport for their guests or a better taxi system.

One of the most beautiful and best hotels I ever stayed in. The facilities are amazing, it has everything you might need and staff are extremely helpful. It is situated in a quiet area sorounded by nature. Beds are very comfortable, food and service are exquisite and the whole aesthetics and decorations are beautiful. The spa is very complete and I had one of the best massages of my life!

This is as close to perfect as possible. Everything - staff, rooms, pool and restaurant were all perfect. The evening meal we chose was the tasting menu with a chosen flight of wines and it ranks among the best dining experience anywhere. Added to this Quinta da Auga oozed ambience. We will stay again.

Everything was excellent.

I have stayed at Relais & Chateaux properties before, so I knew what I could expect, but what a property! It's gorgeous, well-appointed, secluded, and absolutely worth every penny. We also had dinner in the restaurant (the tasting menu) and were very happy with both the meal and the wine recommendations. Stay here if you have the chance!

The restaurant staff looked bothered about us being there - we booked a table in the last slot. Only one waitress treated us really nicely.

Strange request to keep windows and shutters in the bedroom closed.

The breakfast was wonderful with a great mixture of buffet and items to order. You could choose to sit in the beautiful dining rooms or the lovely terraces. The staff were wonderful, professional and yet very friendly.

The spa was a disappointment. Our massages really weren’t the high quality that we expected. The air conditioning wasn’t very affective. The staff provided us with a fan, but we were careful to choose a place with air conditioning and it didn’t work well. It was a surprise when I saw the charges on my bill for gluten-free bread. It was offered in a way that made me think that it was included.

It was a beautiful historic place with lovely gardens. The staff was welcoming and attentive. It was and the restaurant served delicious gourmet food.
