However, we were NOT HAPPY with the distance from Santander airport. Booking.com mentioned 15miles from Santander airport, but in fact it was 48 miles away, resulting in a VERY expensive taxi ride. Not the fault of the hotel, but a very bad case of INACCURATE info by Booking.com

The hotel itself was wonderful and the staff very helpful and welcoming. The view from our room was the best we have ever had from any hotel in the past.

Parking was a bit tight, but there were plenty of them.

The apartment we were finally allocated. The location could not be surpassed. The helpfulness at reception was brilliant and the cleaning staff despite not speaking English were efficient and friendly.

The apartment which is part of the hotel is in need of a facelift, old building, looks like something from the 80's,but it was clean, would I go back NO.

Had it rained i would have liked the motorbikes in an underground or at least covered parking.. but it didn't so wasn't a concern Room decor was a little dated but it was all clean and tidy so not really an issue..

Right on the beach, with onsite free parking which considering we had 4 motorbikes was great.. we just piled them all in to 1 car bay. Checked in with no problems.. and the staff were great. A lift is available just behind the reception desk. Our rooms had a balcony which considering it was april was still nice and warm and able to sit outside with views across the beach. As it was out of season the restaurant was quiet but the food was good. Breakfast the next morning was plentiful with good coffee and attentive staff. checkout was 11am but they let us hang about and we actually checked out closer 12, so we had a couple of coffee's and some lunch then it was time to make our way to the ferry which took us about 40 mins.. which considering the nice warm day meant we had quite a relaxing day to wrap up our biking trip. If i do the trip again.. I'm booking this hotel.

Fixtures and fittings do feel a little run down, and a kitchen refit is overdue. We found it quite noisy, both from the (very enjoyable to visit) bar outside and from our neighbours on all sides. The apartment block is round the back of the hotel, so any dreams you might have of glass balconies and perfect sea views are just that.

Check in was efficient and friendly - all in Spanish. The apartment was spacious, clean and cool, all beds made up with good quality bed linen. Plenty of towels. We were lucky with our allocated apartment - 3rd floor and on a corner. Bed, sofa and chairs all comfortable enough for us. Kitchen appliances worked fine although we didn’t use the oven. The electricity tripped once, but was quickly sorted and thereafter the fuse box was left open for us just in case. We really enjoyed watching the swallows feeding babies in their nest outside the living room window. There were no flies, and literally about 3 mosquitoes during our 5 night stay. We didn’t use the hotel bar or restaurant, but shops, bars, restaurants, walks and the beach are all right on the doorstep.

The apartment was at the main street which was very very noisy in the mornings, 6.30-7.30, even if the windows were closed, it didn't make no difference as if they were opened. The pillows weren't so good....

Location perfect, views perfect, breakfast we didn't have. The beds were comfortable for sleeping.

Hotel was let down by quality of staff exception George who was extremely helpful and breakfast waiter. Rooms very basic no air con no fridge no safe, had only one plug near bed which was hidden by pillow is in desperate need of refurbishment. Left early !!!
