Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaThe hosts were very friendly And helpful. Our room was clean, comfortable and the view from our window was the Alhambra. We saw both the sun rise and set over the Alhambra. Also, the location was excellent for getting great views, and We could relax on the patios at Montesclaros.

United KingdomThese apartments are not really suited to the fat, unfit, faint hearted or infirm (although my husband and I fall into several of these categories and we coped ok). The approach by car is frankly terrifying, from the moment that you have to drive over a sunken bollard into the restricted area. The streets become progressively more steep and narrow, with sharp bends that are tricky to negotiate. It probably took us almost an hour to negotiate the streets. When we finally reached the right road, we could not find the apartments. They are only 50 - 100 yards up the road on the left hand side, but as they are set back, we drove straight past them. The parking area is at the top of the road, about 10 minutes up hill from the apartments.
We stayed in one of the caves (called Enmedio) and I loved it. From the cave doorway, I could look out across to views of the Alhambra. (The view from the other cave was not nearly so good) The kitchenette had everything that we needed to prepare meals, the bed was a comfortable, normal sized double and the towels provided were bath sheets. In our apartment, there was no shower holder or shower curtain, so we were unable to shower - we had baths instead, which suited us fine. To reach the apartments from the city centre, you can either catch one of the very frequent minibuses or else you have to toil up pretty steep hills and steps. The nearest mini market is about 10 minutes away down hill. We spent 3 happy nights in our cave and I would certainly recommend it to anyone who wants something a little bit different from their holiday.

United States of AmericaMy daughter was not happy about how far away we had to walk to park the car. It did not bother me. I was happy to have an affordable, safe place to park the car for the few days we were in Granada!
The location of this apartment is fabulous with a view of the Alhambra. The neighborhood is fun to walk around in with restaurants to enjoy a drink and tapas. The host was so friendly and helpful! She sent clear directions with pictures to arrive at the hotel as I was driving. She also offered restaurant recommendations and was available to answer any questions.

United KingdomThe apartment itself was very basic with shabby furniture and as a family of 3 we felt a little too crammed for 3 nights. The sofa bed is very uncomfortable and the kitchen could do with a few more pans to cook.
The view!! worth a million bucks and I doubt anywhere else in Granada could top that! The building is like a villa with accommodation arranged over two floors and a terrace on the upper deck which I couldn't get enough of! The Alhambra is the most beautiful place I have ever seen and to be able to see it all day long from our terrace was a dream come true. The rooftop pool is lovely and we even took a quick dip on a sunny morning but the water was freezing! We even watched the new year's eve fireworks from there.

United States of AmericaAfter walking all day, through the steep hills, an escalator would’ve been nice🤗
I was always told that I That I will end up living in a cave, so I thought I would try it out and I loved it. There is a beautiful terrace in front of the property that allows you to look at Alambra as he breakfast or just just decide to relax.

United KingdomIt was fine for us, but worth noting that this may not be suitable for people with reduced mobility due to its hillside location (up some stairs and parking is about 10 mins walk, although there are nearby bus stops and taxis can stop at the bottom of the stairs). Shower wasn't great (not possible for short people to adjust height/angle), but not a big deal.
Absolutely loved our stay here! We booked it without knowing much about the history of the area (we just liked the look of it) and were so happy with our choice. It was wonderful to experience the unique local culture by staying in a cave, in amongst all of the flamenco caves of Sacramonte! The apartment was cosy and comfortable in November, staff were lovely and the terrace with the view across to Alhambra was perfect!

United KingdomVery little. The kitchen might benefit from brighter lighting and and more kitchen implements (but many people will not wish to cook).
The view of Alhambra palace is exceptional. The host was very helpful re helping to find the property in a car as the area is quite difficult to get to and her directions and support were very good. The apartment shares a pool with excellent views of the palace and although best described as a plunge pool it was a nice place to end afternoons. There are also outdoor seating and patio areas re having a drink etc: at night. The room itself also has a small patio door which again overlooks spectacular views of the palace (which not many places in Granada will have). The owner was equally able to offer a facility to park nearby at additional cost. (A must in Granada).

United KingdomWhat was there to dislike ... nothing!!! If you're not a good walker it was a little hilly but you can take it steady and still enjoy it
Wow, wow, wow! The view from the apartment took my breath away ... we looked straight on to the Alhambra and it was stunning. On a night we sat and paddled in the pool looking out over the Alhambra all lit up and the experience was like a dream. If you stay here I'd definitely recommend you take the time to visit the cave museum which is only 10 minutes walk away. I wish we'd booked longer here, but I'm sure I'll return anyway.
