To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

United KingdomI knew a 300 euro damage deposit was needed on check in but only found out the day before that we had to visit a different building to pay it. Thankfully for us this was only a short walk from where we were staying but have seen from other reviews that people have had to travel further.
A very spacious apartment with 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, kitchen, living area and small balcony. There was a small lift to the apartment too. The apartment was clean and had all the basics one would need for a short stay. Plenty of small shops, restaurants and local transport links, all within walking distance.

United KingdomThe check-out time was too early. Additionally, it would have been appreciated to receive a heads-up about the construction work happening in the neighbouring building. Waking up to drilling at 8:30 am wasn't ideal.
The apartment was perfect, very spacious and clean. The location was great, walking distance to lots of attractions, shops, restaurants and cafes. I can highly recommend.

AustraliaThere was no oven in the unit only a microwave. The fridge was quite old with three broken shells in the door was functional but not the best and the pillows on the beds were terrible.
The location was brilliant. Not to far from a metro, it was an easy walk to Sagrada Familia and the Arc de triumph, We were also able to walk to park Guell, Casa Batlló was about a 15 min easy walk and had the option to either Metro or walk to La Ramblers and into old town. The Unit has a lift was safe and secure and really quiet we had a great stay.

SwitzerlandMinor point: deposit has to be blocked on the credit card up to 24h after arrival. This was mentioned somewhere on booking but not very clearly. It could be communicated better just for clarity. However, the process went smoothly, I was not charged for anything (just my card was blocked but then unblocked) so at the end this did not create any trouble. I would recommend this place and come again.

TurkeyElevator was really old. There should be heating but there was no heating, you must use air condition for heating. And it was not usefull. Getting out on 10a.m is not a right choice. There was really big crowd while exit. We can get out after 30 min. Because of everyone try to get out same time and elevator was not helping with us.
