3 flights of stairs with large suitcases was a struggle. Would have been good to have some water supplied initially as you can’t drink the tap water.

As we arrived I thought I had made a big mistake as the outside of the building is not very welcoming. But inside we found a great apartment only 400m from La Rambla. Had the 3rd floor apartment with 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. It was spotless when we arrived. Very comfortable place to stay. Check in process was very quick and easy and staff were friendly and accommodating.

Although we did not hear any noise from other units or people in the building, late-night noise from the street (barking dogs, street cleaners, loud people, after-midnight deliveries, etc.) comes right into the unit, even with the doors and shutters closed. We got more used to the interruptions after a few nights - it's part of the life of the city and part of the experience. An extra mirror or two would be a nice addition.

Great location, easy check in and out. There are many restaurants, cafes, and grocery stores nearby. From the apartment we walked to many locations, within about 20 minutes, including La Rambla, Casa Battlo, Sagrada Familia, the beach, and the bus station for a tour to Montserrat. The host arranged an airport transfer which was fairly priced, worked smoothly, and made our arrival easy. We were aware there was no lift and the apartment is on the 4th floor (5th if you count the North American way). The air conditioning and bright, roomy apartment was welcome after climbing the stairs. Plenty of space for the two of us, including a small work desk.

For us it was not a problem but i would not recommend going there if you are elderly. The appartement is only reachable by high, small stairs.

The property was excellent. A lift in the building would have been helpful but we managed well without it.

It is in a brilliant position on the edge of the Gothic quarter. It was exceptionally clean.

The noise :( The noise from the streets is not good. We stayed with our little kids and people throughout the night screaming, laughing and shouting was an issue. The street cleaner trucks at 4am, the parties in nearby apartments, the babies crying I'm afraid was a real problem for us but it's absolutely not the apartments fault. Such a central location but we all slept terribly so I wouldn't personally recommend for a young family if you're light sleepers

Very clean, got everything you could ever need. TV didn't work but wasn't an issue. Air con in one of the bedrooms does loud whirs every half an hour but it's an amazingly central location, host was great and very clean.

We travelled with 2 heavy suitcases and the apartment was on the 4th floor up a narrow staircase. Both handles on one suitcase snapped when we carried it up. Cut a long story short, no lift so travel light when you stay at this place

curtains in 2nd bedroom and probably let people know at time of booking as a warning about the stairs as a friend who travelled with us had a back problem and found it extremely difficult. 2nd bedroom had no blinds. should put some up to help guests sleep better.

We were aware of the stairs as it was a fourth floor apartment but they are very narrow - very difficult to lug the suitcases up. If you have any mobility issues, this is not the stay for you. Having said that, this is why the apartment is good value. Also needs soundproofing! The street noises (bollards rising) were very loud.

The location was great, the apartment was spacious and the facilities were good. The apartment was also clean and the lady who met us for a late check in was friendly.

The person who checked me in: - Simply ignored my message about meeting half hour earlier - When meeting on the street, she looked at my two large suitcases, saying “it’s 4 floors” and running up the stairs. I don’t expect anyone to carry my suitcases but a smile or any sign of compassion would have been nice. - In Spain you have to pay the tourist tax upon arriving. This could not be made by card as her card machine was broken. Luckily I had cash (for some reason) so I could pay, however she didn’t have even one euro in change. So 1) no card matching and 2) no change and to top that not a very nice attitude in general.

Perfect location and good size apartment. it feels like some kind of home home even though it’s a rental unit. 4th floor without elevator.

The common space was quite basic with a small screen posing as TV and it really looked quite bigger in the photos. There was no shampoo, sugar and other amenities that any short term rental should have. The second bedroom was not nearly as nice and comfortable as the master and had no AC. Also according to our reservation,we were supposed to stay on the third floor but instead we were placed on the second floor. Finally the high fines for almost anything (for lost keys, for noise after 10, for leaving the trash in the bin instead of taking them with you) reminded us of a student dorm.

If you have a problem with steps, this is not the location for you. There is no elevator and three flights of narrow steps. We were warned in advance and were fine with it, but I don't think that the description of the property explains this. My biggest complaint was that there were 2 safes, but neither safe worked which meant that we needed to carry our passports with us. Also note that the second bedroom does not have its own air/heat unit and there are no shutters on the windows so the light comes through.

The location of this apartment was unbeatable. The manager of the property was very responsive. The apartment was clean and comfortable.

a couple of little things would have made the property perfect. we couldn’t find any tea towels and a few more basic condiments would have rounded everything out nicely.

It been assumed we only wanted 2 rooms so no bedding for the sofa bed. Not appropriate for my 14 and 13 yr old boy and girl to share Mouse ir rat droppings Sofa bed very uncomfortable

The super long stairs to go into the apartment. Very narrow space and 4 floors to go, very hard to do if you have a lot of luggage and/or any type of physical challenges. Also, the staff could have been a bit nicer when we met them in person.

This is not really a negative, but mobility challenged clients should be prepared for the 59 step climb up from the street. Fortunately you only carry your luggage up once, but even down is no “piece of cake.”

The best feature was the great location. The apartment was clean and modern and of a good size. It basically is a nice hotel room connected to a nice studio apartment. It was well appointed and quiet.
