Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.

All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomBreakfast buffet: coffee machines were shut down at 10.10 apart from 1 machine which then had a 10 person queue for the 20 minute remaining time in the restaurant.
Loved the luxurious feel, the beds were so comfortable, staff were very accommodating and friendly

United KingdomFood options limited and not labeled well enough. Few staff spoke English so were unable to confirm if it was suitable for vegetarians. We were very close to eating pork for example. Not labelled good at all. Also kids club staff were a bit off with us, the lady was ignoring us and not letting my son participate in the activities. We did not feed comfortable.
A new hotel now everything was very nice. Designed very well. Room was very nice

United KingdomRoom layout - we had s superior room but found it very difficult to pass each other when showering / cleaning teeth etc No wash basin in toilet so you have to touch the door handles to use the wash basin by the shower which is unhygienic The paths around the hotel are breaking up / cracking which is disappointing for a brand new hotel. The walls in some areas are poorly rendered and where the walls have been painted paint has splashed on floors and windows. Although there are plenty of sun beds there are not enough parasols and the parasols that are there are not sturdy enough as they are easily blown over even when not opened up. The large unheated pool attracts gulls and the annoying recorded bird sound that is played to frighten them away is not only inaffective but very annoying when you are trying to relax by the pool. Although there is a gate for guests to access the path along the seafront it does look it has been added as a second thought and makes you feel you are leaving / entering prison and it’s design lacks the grandeur of the reception - a real let down compared to other hotels.
Generally clean but room was not cleaned properly on the last day. Large comfortable bed Very nice large swimmjng pool with plenty of sun beds Food was good and plentiful

United KingdomThe resort is like a massive ode to capitalist greed and mass tourism, as nice as it is I was not a fan.
This is a great hotel its designed and well run to be 4 star and deliver as a resort. It does what is does very very well. Easy parking, great staff, fantastic room, one of the best hotel breakfasts I've had in years. The location is perfect with sea, restaurants, bars, etc

SloveniaThe spa is just available for adults. Sometimes it is to windy to stay in outdoor pool.
I read many of the comments (also negative) about the hotel and still decided to book it because it is a brand new hotel. We usually stay in 4 or 5 star hotels on our travels and are quite picky:). We loved this hotel, the place where it is stated (beautiful marina), the interior, the room (design + comfy beds), the lobby and also the staff. There were many comments about the food. Honestly, there was so much food including variety, everyone can find something for themselves. There are also many stations that freshly prepare food for you. You never needed to wait more than 5 min. The pools and the exterior is just amazing with amazing views. The lobby leaves you speechless. Pictures don’t compare to the reality. I would definitely recommend this hotel for families with small and big children.

Sadly we only got to spend one day/night here due to a flight change but it was an excellent find We were delighted with our arrival welcome, our rooms, the restaurant food and the most beautiful grounds, pools of this new hotel with lovely evening bars too

United KingdomI didn't like that at lunchtime there was no bar where you could order fresh food, like a sandwich or a burger etc., there was food available but it was only buffet style.
The location of my room was excellent, I asked for ground floor and got that and it was close to the bar, restaurant etc.

United KingdomThe food. It was not of great quality or standard for this hotel. I only visited the buffet but I spoke with guests who shared a similar view. I ate there once and ate out every other night. It wasn’t as fresh as I would like. Also I had a concern regarding the kids club, there was a whole area dedicated to the kids club, however, on my first day a worker decided to bring the kids club to the area where I was relaxing. I endured the Spanish nursery rhymes that day whilst their parents got some peace. Later I enquired if the kids club would be held around the hotel grounds and the response was basically well the kids need to be here it’s a family hotel. I explained I had no issue with children in the hotel, there were some very well behaved children there who were fine, but it’s slightly different having 10 children singing right next to you whilst you’re trying to relax from a high pressure job. It was unexpected and had I known this I would not have booked this hotel. Maybe it’s just my experience but usually in hotels kids are contained to the kids club, if I had known this I would have booked elsewhere as the purpose of my trip was relaxation. I just find it confusing that you would dedicate a whole area of the hotel to the kids club then not use it. Overall the value for money is not there for me with this hotel (unless the food has improved). I have recently got back from 13 nights at MYND Yaiza and it was a completely superior experience, better food (all al la carte half board) and the friendliest staff I have ever encountered. Save your money and go there instead.
Beautiful rooms, newly built. Nice facilities and great seafront location, perfect for walks and runs. The gym was a bit basic and small for my needs so went elsewhere (H10) but good enough for a casual gym goer who doesn’t lift too heavy weights.

BelgiumThe bathroom and bedroom are combined into one room. This is not at all an issue, except when you are with smaller children that need to go to bed early. It requires a bit of planning, but otherwise there was nothing we really disliked.
Great, modern facilities with a beautiful and large, heated pool and a separate pool with slides for small children. We also appreciated the small playground for our two-year old daughter. The food at breakfast and dinner was very decent with plenty of choice. All in all, a great hotel we would consider returning to with our family.

AustraliaVery little, I will definitely stay there again and recommend it as it just works.
Very close the T1 at MXP, you could probably walk it in under 10 mins (I had a car), big rooms, big bathroom, good bar, easy bar food, just a really good travel stop. My wife flew in at 06:30, shower, grabbed breakfast and off. Perfect.

United KingdomFire alarm went off during early hours of the morning and woke everyone up. Then went off again an hour later. Didn’t know how to get to reception or fire point if there was a real fire and no explanation or apology the next day.
Breakfast was nice, lots of choice. Pools were good and heated, good daytime entertainment and evening.

IrelandThe food and drink are a drawback. The bar staff were not well trained and struggled to manage the customers. The food is a let down, despite having all inclusive we chose to eat outside the property. Lack of care, low quality and generally not edible. Housekeeping could be better, lack of care and attention to the small details, the linen was changed but otherwise very little cleaning around the room / outside space was evident.
The property was exceptional and in a great location. Barceló is extremely well kept and evident a great amount of care went into the finishing touches.

United KingdomMy boys (7 and 9) loved the outdoor quiz or whatever entertainment was on 8.45-9.30 at the sports bar. There was usually a band or something on after, which was fab when watching but quite noisy when trying to have an early night. Think it finished maybe 11. Would be better if shown to a table in the buffet restaurant and I do prefer a hotel that brings tea and coffee to the table. Like when have option for half board to be lunch or evening meal but had to be evening though this may change as only recently opened.
Fabulous location on sea front between Marina Rubicon and town of Playa Blanca. Modern stylish hotel. All staff were lovely. Great facilities. I was worried would be too big a hotel but split up into different restaurants etc. Also given a half arrival hour slot for evening meal which made things run smoother. Food was a good standard and lovely buffet restaurant design with indoor and outdoor. Would definitely come back.

United KingdomPoolside activities are not for me. Too loud and annoying with minimal numbers of participants. It would seem most other hotel residents preferred to relax also.
Decor of rooms is really good. Pool is heated and great to swim in. Food (especially breakfast) is exceptional and surroundings are pleasant too.
