All was lovely, no complaints!

My dog Coda and I stayed for two nights at Cabanas de Candua. The accommodations were truly wonderful and the management was accommodating and friendly throughout the stay. They helped with everything from dinner reservations to a lovely breakfast basket. You cannot beat the quality of the cabanas anywhere in Galicia, and you're only a 10 minute drive from Laxe (many restaurants, great hikes, a beautiful beach) and 15-20 from Corme (also beautiful beaches, hikes, and restaurants.)

I came to Galicia to rest and switch off. The cabanas were the perfect spot. Nested at the rear of a valley overlooking the ocean and forests of pine and eucalyptus trees, this tranquil setting was magical. We were welcomed by Maria, who looked after us through the six days. Our cabana was spacious and decorated beautifully and with taste, a mix of modern and wooden work (some furniture made by the owner). The kitchen is small but functional, the bathroom is super large with a walking-in shower, the bed is super comfortable, and the view from the bed is exquisite. The balcony with a hot tub hung above a perfect lawn, and we parked our car in a private space. The venue is bang in the middle of la Costa da Morte and a short driving distance from Laxe, Muxia, Finisterra and Santiago - we loved it and had a perfect holiday. Planning when we will come back!

everything was perfect

My friend and I were walking on the Camino dos Faros. This was just a little off our path and is was perfect. We felt like this was (and is) absolute luxury after several days walking and staying in basic accommodations. Maria was lovely and she arranged to drop off breakfast for us so we could get an early start. The problem was, we didn't want to leave. The bed was so comfortable, we slept really well. The tub was an added bonus to soak our sore muscles. Everything about it was perfect. The only thing that would have made it better was if someone cooked our dinner for us.

There are a couple of things that would make Cabanas de Canduas even more amazing: A kettle to make hot drinks. There was only a saucepan and a coffee machine. More storage for both clothes and provisions. Kitchen cupboards are high and you can't reach the empty shelves. A place to sit in the sun is the biggest improvement needed. The balcony and jacuzzi is amazing however never in the sun. Would be great if part of it didn't have a covering or if it could be extended without a covering. It can get a little windy up in the hills and therefore is cooler so a bit of sun is needed. We did sit on the grass but this is damp due to it being watered all night.

Amazing location and views although the journey to the cabins can be a little difficult and narrow depending on which direction you come in from. The cabin itself is wonderful and we found out they are all handmade by the owners. Its a little bit of paradise. Peaceful and relaxing. We paid additionally for breakfast which was amazing. Delivered to our door at 10am was fresh coffee and tea, bread, yoghurt and juice. Would definitely recommend.

amazing area, comfortable bed, beautiful interior, the best terrace ever with outstanding view. it is silent, sounds to hear are only from the nature. nice place to recharge! super nice hot tube outside. we will be back for sure!

The auto lawn mower crashing under our cabin during the night whilst we were trying to sleep, (this could instead be on during the day ideally or whilst guests are out). Having to pay on arrival (before the stay) was annoying , (just an advance card authorisation would have sufficed) as per the policy of most places on air b n b and booking. Having to pay in advance and in full for something not yet experienced (or even physically viewed) doesn’t sit well at all and there is no logic to it. If you don’t trust individuals don’t accept their reservations. On arrival ,importance should be given mainly to a warm welcome of your guests. Then , when showing your guests around (especially in hours of darkness/ on a late arrival) , no need to oversell the accommodation. Your guests can see with their own eyes and appreciate quality when it’s there. That’s the reason they chose to come there in the first place. Most of the time saying less gives you more and better feedback. Let the client ask you the questions. Just ensure all of your advice and guidance you wish to offer about the accommodation & it’s facilities is in writing on a ‘helpful tips’ document. Rates , understandably post Covid and the fact that you have recently opened are fair grounds to charge a little more , and maybe as the competition grows you may or may not chose to reduce prices. Meanwhile you could reflect better over all value for money by throwing in free tapas / merienda with a drink per person per day along with some free fruit and or chocolate to come back to each evening of the stay. This would Set you apart from the competition and allow you to keep your rates higher. People always want to feel like they are getting something extra or different to justify having to pay more.

The coherent concept , the quiet , private & scenic location , the quality and high level of presentation (of the facilities) , the warm & helpful welcome , the overall experience. The romantic touch! Breakfast to your door. Guidance & recommendation services. The convenient and well planned setting.

Unfortunately a noisy kid running around which ruined the great calmness. This is a relaxing place and should be an adults only. You cannot relax or enjoy the jacuzzi with kids.

Everything was brand new and beautiful. Very nice and friendly owner and stuff. Trying everything to make you feel comfortable. Breakfast fast rich and delicious. Served in a basket to the door in the morning. Perfect to enjoy in peace and quiet on the terrace. The cabanas are beautiful and perfectly designed. The beds are super comfortable and even one of the best ones we ever slept in. As the place has nothing to offer for kids but offers the peace and quite others are really seaking for relaxation we strongly recommend to have an adults only here and also advertise to the quite seaking audience. This is really a great place and we will come back definitely to enjoy the peace and beauty. Thanks for the great service and all the best until we see you soon!
