Each review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. The old town is pretty tricky to navigate so you have to leave your car on one of the public parkings and walk. After the check-in they told us the they had a problem with the water heater and no one could fix it that day. So on our first night I had a cold shower =) It happens.
The hotel is located right on the main square so you go down the stairs and you can have breakfast right in the very center of the town. There's local market on Wednesdays as well. Apart of the nice places on the main square, they have a quite famous authentic restaurant downstairs right in the building! (the menu was a bit tricky to navigate since I'm vegetarian, but overall experience was OK)

Perfect location! Especially for us as my son lives only a 5 minute walk away. Owners were super nice. Room was nice and they had lots of common areas to enjoy.

Bit of a bad smell from the sink in the bathroom, but we could open the windows and close the sink to get rid of that very quick

Enjoyed my stay in Sineau at Can Font so much! The staff was kind, helpful, and attentive. Will certainly stay again next time I am in Mallorca!

Location is perfect. Nothing pretentious, straight up little country town hotel, super comfortable and clean, offers a nice traditional breakfast. Would (will) recommend.

Minor issue, but TV didnt work for me, but honestly by the time I got to room, I just fell asleep
Brilliant location with one of the best restaurants serving lamb I've ever had. I would travel there again for the food! Rooms are simple but clean, tidy, perfect and unpretentious since you'll be spending most of your time walking around sightseeing and exploring.

I had a nice stay, quite one level up from the street. The hotel is situated in a nice plaza close to an old church, beautiful! The breakfast was in an restaurant next door, good quality juice, bread and coffee, just perfect. The owners are very friendly and helpful to answer questions, I good leave my luggage by checking out and pick it up later.

It was little bit too expensive compared to other hotels same type on the island but since the breakfast was included it was ok. The shower stream was very weak and got even weaker when the tap was open next to it. The doors and walls were very thin and all the sound was hearable which was coming from downstairs and next door.
The location, that little town was absolutely perfect site when you want to experience the nature and the romance in a little town at once. The hotel was cozy and intimate. Host was sweet and warm. Breakfast was not too fancy but still had all the elements what one could want: from ham to chocolate crossaint. The bed was also perfect for two persons (it had one mattress instead of 2 separate ones).

The rooms are not sound-proof at all, difficult to sleep for a light sleeper
A nice hotel right on the main square. The room was big enough and clean. The bed was comfortable. We appreciated we could used the small shared kitchen which was well-equipped with cutleries, dishes, hot water boiler and coffee machine

I loved the location of the hotel in the middle of the old town. The building had lots of character. The room was simple, yet clean and comfortable with a very useful fridge! I enjoyed having breakfast at the local bar next door, but did not try the restaurant for an evening meal as was only staying a few nights. Sineu train station is in walking distance, which connects with Palma - so there is no need to hire a car to stay here.

Everything was great
lovely authentic Spanish accommodation. Very clean and comfortable. Staff very helpful, but rooms are secondary to Cellar Restaurant. Food and service in the Restaurant was fabulous. Extensive menu and really tasty and well prepared food.
