Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

PolandThey demanded a lot of personal information to provide by internet before arrival, I did not think it was safe. There was no place in the room for hanging towels.
Location - in the center, good for excursions, walking distance from the sea. I would like to spend more time there, Nice house, nice patio and roof terrace. Well equipped and well organised common kitchen.

United KingdomI had the room on the left by the front door, the Alamo. There was a window on to the street which I kept closed at all times. This is an old property and the thick stone walls are impressive.
Right next to the church where the coach from Las Palmas stops. This is also the centre of village life and there was a festival during the daytime when I arrived. Within easy walking distance of a large Spar supermarket. You can also walk down the dried up riverbed to Puerto de las Nieves. There is a luxurious hotel on the cliffs. And by the sea are rock pools where you can swim. The small Spar serves coffee and rolls etc. In contrast to other places I have stayed, there are two volunteer hosts to greet you and look after you. Most people do not stay for extended periods. Often this is a stop on a walking holiday.

GermanyThe room was a bit small but with a comfortable mattress.
What stood out is that the place is very clean and very well curated. The location is ideal because it is in the center of the older town next to bars and tascas where to eat. The staff was very very nice.

Irelandwe booked the room during Carnival but we didn’t know it would be the carnival. knowing that the big concert is just by the house, it’d been good to let us know when we booked. The check in was a bit strange as well, with someone who didn’t speak spanish nor english.
very clean, priced with reason. very nice staff!

HungaryWe would've appreciated to be notified beforehand about the festive event on the street (right under our windows) on our second night. Right after the booking, it would have been great if we recieved a note or call about this, so we could consider if it fits our plan. Most probably, we would have stayed in the same place nontheless, but it would have been a much different feeling with no resentment involved.
The bed is extremely comfortable, that was a highlight on our whole trip :) Also, the room was quite clean and tidy. It is a smart idea to have cupboard and fridge places designated to each room in the common kitchen. We also appreciated that we could do our laundry without problem in the place.

GermanyEven though it didn’t bother us a lot, we were able to hear (and understand) everything from the neighbouring rooms and the common spaces, as doors did only block the view but no sound at all - expect no privacy.
Nicely designed and decorated hostel with a sweet little room and roomy comfortable common spaces (kitchen, rooftop, living room). Everything was really clean and felt rather new.

CanadaThe Tierra room, my room, was right next to the kitchen and dining common space, with the window from my room separated by only wooden shutters. This meant no sound privacy for other guests or myself if people were utilizing the common space. It impacted sleep as a result. If anyone was dining late or early, I could not sleep. For a night or two, such as in my circumstance, it was fine given the price. However, if looking for a a longer stay and sleep is a priority, another accommodation may be more suitable for potential guests.
Property was good value, very clean, friendly staff.

Germanymy room was small but big enough for me for my short stay.
the hostel opened just a few weeks ago and it is a nice family owned house with great space and a roof terrace and a big living room. The owner speaks Spanish, English and German and just around the corner you find locals bars and cafes. As the has just opened it might not been perfect yet but their are extremely friendly and open for suggestions.

Czech RepublicThe place is probably meant for cheerful, adventures travelers who are ready to share their stories and don’t mind always busy kitchen and bathroom. Now I sound like a grumpy old lady, I’m sorry (not so old.. not so grumpy- just an introvert ). The place could be cleaner.
The accommodation is right in the heart of the town which is great for city walks.

United KingdomBecause the dormitory is small and most people seem to be in private rooms it can make connecting with other travellers harder. I was on the very top in the dorm which has a long ladder/staircase leading up to it that felt a bit dodgy walking up and down at times. The hostel is right next to a square so if there are any festivities, expect to hear every bit of it (eg Easter Friday musical celebrations went on till about 11pm)
What’s there not to like? Friendly staff, very clean, the dorm is small/not shared with too many people
