Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United States of AmericaFrom the outside, this hotel is a wall, but inside, it's glorious. I believe Casa d'Mina means "my house" and you can tell by the care that has been lavished on every single detail of this place. It's so comfortable and welcoming, we didn't want to leave. From the very start, Chris takes his time and provides detailed information to every guest, treating every single one as a friend. If the cup of local Vino Tinto Pais is on offer, take two. It's delicious. Also, listen to Chris' food recommendation very carefully and do what he suggests. Bed comfy. Sheets soft. Art excellent. The whole place is a joy.

Beautiful property right on the Camino. Only 8 rooms so you get to know the other guests. Chris is an amazing host. There are snacks and wine which you pay for on the honor system. He will also help you order a pizza.

United KingdomThe walk off the road into the house was unpaved, so very muddy due to all the rain we'd experienced on our Camino. He was still working/ having work done in the house on our arrival, so it was a bit noisy. The owner apologised forthis and it was completed early in the afternoon. The prices charged for the items for sale in the kitchen I thought were a bit high. We were in an attic room, and the ceiling was very low, I believe the other rooms were very good. We'd known it was an attic room on booking!! There was a pub/restaurant a couple of hundred yards away, which I'd advise to avoid as the food was the poorest we had on the Camino. The pub was nothing to do with the owner of this house, though.
The owner was a very nice guy and made us very welcome to the lovely home.

South AfricaNo real concerns except that there is only one restaurant nearby that serves food a bit late after 8 pm. Luckily, we could get something to eat at Casa D'Mina.
Very comfortable place to stay right on the Camino Route. Downstairs is a kitchen with a wide selection of food to eat with drinks and coffee available. In the afternoon the owner made a fire warming up the lounge area where we relaxed for a while.

The setting was beautiful in the woods, right on the Camino. The history of the 300 year old stone structure was so interesting, just ask the owner. He has done a beautiful job of restoring it over the 25 years he has owned it. The kitchen was great with the opportunity to purchase what was needed for breakfast or snack very convenient since away from the town. We had dinner at an excellent restaurant just a short walk. The bathroom was beautiful lots of hot water as well beds super comfortable. It was the best place we stayed on all the Camino.

United KingdomThis is a lovely accommodation. It feels like a newly renovated old house. Stunning little details like beautiful coat hangers, hand made furniture and lots of lovelystonework. Bathroom was fabulous, soft fluffy towels almost 5 star. Bed very comfortable. This property is on the Camino de Santiago route but at least 3 miles from Redondela. It is also in the middle of a forest. Luckily the owner has thoughtfully provided useful breakfast products, wine, beer, water that can be bought on an honesty basis and there is a pub almost next door

Gorgeous renovated farm house right on the Camino way, set in a forested area. We walked into a warm reception with a fire going - perfect for drying off our wet shoes. We had a large room with underfloor heating, which we needed as it was cold and wet outside. Extremely comfy beds and decent pillow!! Bathroom was clean and modern too. There is a kitchen where you can purchase food goodies and very tasty carrot cake. We visited the nearby bar for a couple of drinks and a light dinner. They had tortillas or baguettes with a warm filling of ham and cheese. Not a lot of choice, but tasty and filling.
