Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1–10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We're currently testing a weighted review system in Malta and Iceland (excluding hotel and vacation rental chains). For properties in these countries, the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate "subscores" in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SpainThere were only 2 toilets and there was no elevator but we already knew that when we booked. I'm just saying these because for me if they added more toilets or an elevator it would be more than perfect.
The location was great along with the room. It was well organized and clean. My Mom and Dad loved it.

NorwayWhile we were there, there was construction going on in the building on the side of the apartment where we had the room. It was really disturbing early in the morning, but it was worth the stay for hos nice the place was! And construction is temporary :))
This place is so clean and calm and beautiful! This is one of the few places I want to come back to :))

ItalyThe walls are really thin and there are construction works outside so it’s hard to sleep longer than 8am. Some rooms have no windows facing the outside, that makes it a bit gloomy.
The venue is great, centrally located. The bed is comfy, there are 3 bathrooms with showers, a great kitchen where one can have even breakfast (coffee bread and jam!), the place is clean and the staff is super kind.

FranceSomeone took my butter from the fridge, even though it was in a dedicated basket. It would be great if the room's trash bin could be emptied on a daily basis (especially useful for people like me who have seasonal allergies). The construction works were super loud in the morning but a good thing that the ear plugs were provided by the staff.
The apartment was cleaned on a daily basis. The staff was very responsive.

United KingdomThe walls are paper thin. Alongside the towels you are given disposable earplugs but they did not work for me. There are several rooms - we stayed on a Friday night and there was a lot of noise until gone 2.00 which was a shame but not something the owner (who stays elsewhere) can help. Drinking alcohol on the premises was prohibited but from the noise, this did not seem observed.
Great location and very clean. Price is excellent. Three shared bathrooms which were spotless. Coffee and toast for breakfast. We greatly appreciated being able to store our luggage on our last day. If place is quiet this is probably the best bargain in Grenada...

United KingdomBuilding works going on, which maybe should have been advised. Work starts about 8am, which is ok for me as I wake early but could not really go back for a rest in the day as works don’t finish until about 5pm. Hopefully temporary and I was given the offer to change rooms a number of times. I didn’t as I was only there 2 nights. Key to premises outside was a bit sticky but worked eventually. I was worried as a solo traveller as on a side street hoping the key would let me in and felt a bit exposed. Felt safe overall though.
Great location and instructions on how to find it. Wonderful old house with multiple rooms. Appreciated the coffee and toast. Great value for money. Location is fabulous. I flew into Malaga and caught the bus to Granada. Local bus from bus station was €1.40 and so easy. Lots of lovely restaurants nearby and easy to walk to the train station when leaving.

PolandWhile our stay at Casa de la Alegria had many positive aspects, one feature that we found less favorable was the window in our room facing the inside of the apartment, directly into the reception or living area. This setup impacted our privacy and the overall experience.
Our stay at Casa de la Alegria was truly delightful. We appreciated the thoughtful touches, including a supply of bread, jam, breakfast cereals, and milk—a welcoming gesture that added to our comfort. The host's quick responses to our queries were highly commendable, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience. The location, close to various tourist attractions and dining options, made exploring the city convenient. Moreover, we were impressed by the host's attention to detail, evident in the provision of shower gel, a functional hairdryer, and cotton for makeup cleaning—little touches that contributed to our overall comfort. The shared kitchen, equipped with complete cooking facilities, further enhanced our stay.

United States of AmericaThe door stuck a bit and I was afraid that we could not get in, but in the end, we were able to get it to open.
We had a nice room. There were multiple rooms off of a central area as well as shared bathrooms and a kitchen. The host was helpful. There were a few misunderstandings on my part and the host was gracious. Would recommend staying here and the location was great!

BelgiumA lot of noise at night, but the owner gives you earplugs and that is very good. There are a total of 3 showers, 2 of which can only raise the nozzle 1 meter due to a strange installation. Instead, you are forced to use the rain shower nozzle, which is less practical if you want to wash your hair. The smallest shower is the best. An extra coat hook in the bathroom would be useful.
Price-quality ratio is very good. It's hostel is well located in the center, close to everything. Granada is a super nice city. The manageress is super friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and spacious, nicely decorated and a nice patio to sit on. The beds are good and clean. The WiFi works very well. there is a large fridge in the communal kitchen where there is also food and water for everyone, which is very nice. There is soap in the bathroom and cotton balls to remove make-up, which is super fun and handy. Thank you :-)
